Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Well 'Critical Care' are wonderful :wtf:

I've received feedback from the Sandvine team and I'm afraid they don't pick up anything wrong either. Also the traces done last night doesn't show the issue occurring anymore. They have requested a tcpdump like wireshark packet capture, would you be able to provide us with this? The dump will need to be during the time that you are experiencing the issue.

So basically I am just going to have to live with the Mweb Peering problem, I am not the only one experiencing this, so this is not Isolated.

Trace Routes are fine, but sites are inaccessible.

I will be submitting cancellation today for everything, Afrihost have really gone backwards, me and my R14k a month are going elsewhere.

Goodbye Afrihost.

I don't think that snippet gives the impression we're simply giving up? We're simply requesting Wireshark dumps to better trace how the traffic works from your connection.

The traceroutes you've posted here also seem to reflect an issue with various time-outs.
Either way, please keep our Critical Care team posted to see this through.

I must spend my time diagnosing an Afrihost network problem which has been ongoing for the past 18/19 days?
Ok, that makes so much sense, I have provided enough information, and given Afrihost more than ample opportunity to rectify.
I am NOT the only one experiencing this problem.

If Afrihost want to keep my Business which is R14k a month, you guys have until the end of the month.
Otherwise I am gone, so tired of this poor service, and yes AfriGuy, you are also to blame, I have been brushed off by you a number of times. Get the correct people involved and take my problem seriously.

It is not like Afrihost give me my services for free.

I am extremely disappointed in the sheer lack of service and no resolution to date.

I would have no need to post this if Afrihost had handled this better, before anyone says it is unfair.

I really think our Critical Care team are doing their absolute best. As I've mentioned before, if there was an easy fix or something we've found on our end it would have been fixed ages ago. That's not the case here so we need to troubleshoot as a team.

I've read through the ticket and we've kept you in the loop constantly.

Keeping me in loop does not solve the issue experienced by a few users.
I have no control over the Afrihost Network and so I just sit here with broken Internet connections, if you guys can't identify the problem that is alarming. This makes it seem Afrihost have no control over their own network.

As I've said, we're doing our absolute best to see this through. But in some cases, like this one, we need a lot of detail and results around the issue.

So will I see any type of reimbursement or good gesture?
Or would you rather let me leave and go elsewhere?
And the others experiencing this?
Will they also be compensated for the inconvenience?

I am sorry, but I am so frustrated, not that there is a problem (which I understand happens),
But rather at the fact that it has been over 2 weeks already, with no end in sight.

I think what upsets me the most, is come the end of the month, I still need to part with my full monthly payment, yet your network was not running at full capacity. It's like paying for DSTV, yet some of the best channels are offline, and the customer must just accept that those channels will be restored "at some point", but hey please keep paying your full subscription.

Is that really fair?

You need to direct these questions to Critical Care directly.

Our network is not running at capacity nor is there congestion from our end.

You absolut right
I send massage to critical care and show them the problem in cape town only to tell me every thing is fine
Afrihost have no control on the pairing network but it happen every evening high latency after leaving Cape Town pop
and it only happen on Afrihost
No problem on Telkom and Webafrica

I think you missing my point. I meant it's not functioning 100%.

As mentioned above, we cannot find any obvious issues from our end - so we rely on more data and are in the process of setting up more test cases.

I love how you dodge questions, and keep referring us to Critical Care. I thought the whole reason of having a representative here was to assist?
Clearly not.

I'm not intentionally dodging any questions. You're with Critical Care which is your communication touch point. It's pointless discussing one thing here and then another with our Critical Care team. I'm more than happy to assist, but duplicating the work between MyBroadband and Critical Care doesn't make sense.

Oh yes AG, you do know its already August, and no word from the big bosses on what you guys have planned at Afrihost?
