Twitch is unplayable. Even on low quality. Missed the entire Bravado game because of buffering and pixelating. There is nothing on my line updating, I removed my wife from my wireless and still ****. As I am typing Twitch is trying to buffer and play the video. Been more than one minute with the little loading icon spinning its little ass of.....

My brother is currently getting 184ms in LoL EUW, so to Europe seems fine latency wise.
 
Sigh, i had a Telkom technician yesterday, and something is wrong on my line.

Said he would be back again today, so lets see.

YouTube buffering on 144p :( and torrents running at 14kb/s
 
AfriMan/AfriGuy Is there anything wrong with afrihost network. My roommate keeps complaining that he used to have 10 to 20 ping on battlefield 4, but now it is 50 and he says he disconnects every 3 minutes and he keeps blaming it on me, but i was not even at the house and i took my laptop with me so it can't be me
 
So according to Telkom, im not attached to the Dslam. Sigh so they need to have it looked at as to why ive fallen off

EDIT: I switched to a Webafrica account and everything is back to normal. Ticket: AZV-676-97369. Liaised with Damien and he advised everything is normal on your side. Clearly it isn't. What do you suggest we do?

How was the Twitch performance over the remainder of the weekend? I was on various Twitch channels for most of the weekend and I didn't have any buffering.

Which DNS Servers are you using at the moment? Did you notice anything off with your line speed or any other services?

I had the default as well as the Google DNS, but both had the same issue. Currently at work, still signed in with the WebAfrica account.

Yes, line speed was atrocious. I managed to connect to the saix speedtest site, and it timed out when trying to do a speedtest (hovers around .02mb/s download and then times out saying the test couldn't be completed). Nothing wanted to load, it just said there is no internet connection, but I was connected to Teamspeak (with the ping well in excess of 6000ms).

I restarted the router and it would normalise for 2 - 3 minutes after which it would spike again. I disabled my wireless, unplugged all other network cables from the router and signed out of Origin as well as Steam. I made sure nothing else was running on my network, but still the problem persisted. I took a screen grab of what my NIC was doing, so can mail that to you if required, but you will not be any wiser, as there was nothing else running. No services, no programs, nothing.

Once I logged on with the WA account everything was 100%, I even had lower latency to international Dota 2 servers (spectating a game with sub 200ms pings) where with my AH account pings were consistently well over 200 sometimes as high as 300ms.

Another friend of mine is switching to fibre and advised that he has a AH account available for testing, so when I get home I am going to log on with my own account first to see if the problem persists, then switch to his AH account to see if it happens with his as well, then if all else fails I will go back the WA account.

no said he would be back on the Saturday or Sunday, but never pitched. The fault was logged on the 26th July, and its been working intermittently. Until about a week or so ago when it just completly wonky. When i called in again, Telkom said that they can see my router was reset to default, and that im no longer showing up on the Dslam or something like that. Im pretty annoyed at it, and i dont normally get frustrated by it. However, it does seem to be a monthly issue, where i have an issue just pop up.
 
i cant believe the Technician just told me that Afrihost might be shaping me, which is the reason im getting slow speeds, downloads etc. Seriously!

Afripeeps, this cannot be right, right? especially on a capped account

We don't shape Capped accounts, and from the results you've posted previously along with the noise on your line - it seems like a pretty obvious line related issue.
Have you tested with another ISP to confirm?

I know its not shaped, as my TI account same results. But technitian left so will check again tonight
