Considering that a Raspberry Pi can run the UniFi controller, it's a bit of a disgrace that all UniFi gateways don't include the functionality built-in. It's not exactly cheap hardware. But I really like the Ubiquiti UniFi system so I'll suck it up.

As long as you're got 3GB or disk space available, battled with that on my VM setup with that :(

So any update on what went wrong with afri dns servers last night at around 8? Or is it just easier to forget about it?

Rebooted router a few times, didn't change anything. Put in google dns instead of auto assigned afri dns, and suddenly internet sprung back to life.... is there something seriously wrong with afri dns servers?

Not aware of any DNS specific issues, were you able to run an dig or a traceroute to see where things where going wrong?
