Could Get a better connection using dial-up.

That latency is pretty horrid. :(

Would you be able to run a traceroute to Afrihost.com so that we can see where that latency is originating from?

I just tried Windows update and something's definitely wrong.... waited about 10 minutes and it refused to download
Switched to WebAfrica and download started immediately

btw I'm on a capped account with AH on 20mb VDSL line...in Durdan
oh yes...I'm also on Windows 7 Vorastra:D

Are you having a poor experience with any other services?

I just got the email about capped users getting 18 hours a day free. Are you guys actually serious? So it's either get a capped account or enjoy the inevitable increase in shaping.

Free-Time has been active for a few weeks already. :) We've made sure that the extended Free-Time won't affect any of our Clients negatively.

Facebook videos are absolutely crap tonight.

Don't have my laptop to do a trace route or ping. Speed test shows all is fine. Please ask the network team to check what's up with facebook videos this evening. On a capped account, 4Mbps. Using 8.8.8.8 as DNS. I PM'd you my details before (I think)

So this has been up for a few weeks and this month I'm being shaped on P2P from 8AM straight to 11PM. Did it start before September?
Was it because I did 500GB in September on a 4Mbit Uncapped Prem and I'm in a "super-user" bracket that gets shaped first or something?

What type of account are you on with us? Which DNS servers are you using? What is your DSL line speed?

Capped,

And 2 Mbps line speed.

It's weird. Steam is working perfectly but downloading windows updates is tortoise slow...

500 gigs on a 4meg line, thats alot.. I do about 200 to 300 gigs on a 20 meg line. But then again im on a capped account, so no idea whats happening on uncapped accounts.

Yeah, I've never done that much. I usually do ~370GB. September was just a heavy month for some reason.

My streaming tonight has been stellar :) no issues at all, but ive only been streaming, so no idea on anything else

Woke up this morning to see my p2p still crawling slow! :( Maybe it's time to change ISP's

I don't care what anyone says but p2p is definitely been heavily shaped on my capped account! :(

Confirming for a 3rd time. My torrents are currently not shaped (I assume due to the weekend and that they actually start as opposed to a weekday) and the sites are working correctly again. So without a doubt we can pinpoint the shaper interfering with those sites.

If I recall, someone mentioned that it was faster with the google dns for some reason. If you have a big update, maybe try that.
