It could be a sync fluctuation on the exchange, but it depends if those are your actual sync values or the speeds you're getting. How are you measuring those speeds?

Please hold thumbs with me, according to AfriGenie Telkom scheduled some hardware upgrades at my exchange for today, let's hope by the end of the day I can finally get faster speeds than 4 MB.

the line just fixed last tue, and then went slow 2 days later, I think that may be the problem of the exchange.

Your connecting seems pretty solid from the trace you've posted. This looks like a european server - are you gaming off an EU or US server?

EU. New router should arrive today, so let's see how it looks this evening.

Who's your line with? If it's with Afrihost, ask the rep to log a line fault or one with Telkom if your line is with them (https://secureapp.telkom.co.za/assurance/public/logafault).
If it's exchange congestion, you have my condolences.

It looks like there is congestion on your Exchange.

Are you permanently getting that sort of latency?

Are you saying you get 1Gbps? Are you testing with a fibre line, or how are you measuring these speeds?

No I'm saying I download a total of 1 Gigabyte between 12am and 6am at night with Usenet on Afrihost.

Whereas with my CrystalWeb account I download 30 Gigabytes in the same period.

20Mb/s VDSL.

Everything else have been flawless - just this one issue.

That's strange... How are your P2P and HTTP downloads speeds during those times? Which Usenet service do you use?

No idea about anything else as I'm asleep - usenet is all I schedule.

Using both NextGen and Usenet.farm as Primary. Tried only one or the other and even disabling ssl but result is the same. Had a "spike" earlier the week where I downloaded about 31.5Gb and then back to almost nothing. Same was the case on Axxess which I also trailed.

We run a business from home so always have 2 ISP account on different networks.

a normal Afrihost capped account will work on open access fiber. try a free 1gb account
