Yea didn't work for me ,had lots of issues, the fact that they kept stealing the cable did not help much, everytime they would replace the cable, ASSIA would go - screw you m8, your line is stuffed bwahaha:twisted:, and then drop my speed to what ever it feels is the best, but thanks to Charl that's no longer the case, ASSIA DSM optimization is non-existent on my line

Definitely seems intermittent and all over the place. If it's the same on all providers, there is a possibility we all use the same international backhaul but it's not likely. Plus the jumps in latency seem to start pretty early on in the trace. It's possible this is something wreaking havoc on your local network
Nope, the mobile network was only my phone connected. Seems to be gone now though, so hopefully it was just internationally for that little bit.

Syncs at 10mb/s, but general browsing just seems slow, Web Africa I get full speed. I usually download at 1.1mb from Steam, now nothing wants to download

Just for reference, here's my speedtest - also on a 10Mbps Business DSL. This equates to 1MB/s.
