Afrihost reps. When are you going to explain to your customers, why they are seeing these results, and why the results do not necessarily mean that a problem exists with the services you are offering?

You have a very upset customer on your hands, and just maybe there is actually nothing wrong??

Since it's kind of quiet here I have a question just for interest sake.
What do people do online to burn 400, 600, 800 GB and even more per month? It's something I can't quite get my head around, I'm talking home users not businesses.
I stream +-6 hours Showmax per day, I stream +-3 hours Apple music per day, more over weekends. Then I also work from home so I'm basically on the computer all day, emails, social media, odd Youtube video here and there etc, uploads and downloads to the cloud and all those things as well, but yet my usage is between 100 and 150 GB per month. Yes I am the only internet user in the house so get that households with 3 - 4 users will burn more data, but then again those people are usually away from home for most of the day where I use the internet right through the day.
So what do you do, what do you download to rack up 500 GB and more per month?

They have explained it multiple times, and they have explained it to @quad as well. The new hardware drops ICMP packets to make space for real time traffic. If you have packet-loss you would have issues loading pages and downloading would also be effected, if that's the case, it's very likely telkom related, depending on whether it's peak time or if its a line fault . And just out of interest daniellgr are you a Afrihost client meaning data cap and line managed by them??...I have been watching you closely, you seem to find fault with every ISP you come across..

Well I am searching for an alternate ISP and I ask questions. If I do not get an answer, I scratch them off the list. ..... My search is at an end for the time being. I have now got a test subscription with my chosen alternative ISP .....

There's only so many times one can stream reruns of Game of Thrones! :P

Sorry to hear that, daniellgr. :( Best of luck going forward. We'll always be here if you need any questions answered. :)

If it's exchange congestion, Telkom puts your exchange on a waiting list and will replace/upgrade it when it gets around to it. That's the sad reason I wish for people to have line faults instead of exchange congestion.
