MTR looks OK, what throughput does Twitch display when watching a stream?

How can the MTR be okay? Pretty much every hop had packet loss.

Twitch on high streaming perfectly now. Source still not possible. Throughput oscillates between 0.5 and 3.5Mbps while streaming.

Another MTR:

That does not look healthy.

Dah, sorry. Didn't see that.
Not sure what could be causing that, latency looks OK.

Is this packet loss affecting your experience? What do the results look like when testing with another ISP?

I'll test on another ISP later and get back to you. Considering I can't stream source with a 40Mbps connection, I expect that it is affecting my experience. I expect the MTR won't look amazing on Crystal Web either, as I had buffering on source quality on their network too. I'd just love to know what the heck is causing such diabolical routing. My connection has been perfect for everything but Twitch.

Really not sure where/ why there's so much packet loss overall though - are all of the destinations you run tests too showing the same packet loss?

This isnt good news.

I was thinking about maybe going back to AH because of my Twitch issues with CW.

If I cant stream Twitch in source quality on 40Mbps then something is wrong.

Have you tested an account with us?
I ran a few tests for a client the other night and Twitch was performing pretty well for me.

A bit late, was catching up on the Apple event with their new phone and wide range of adapters :p

Here are my results from this evening, same test standard, account and region tested. This test was done over WiFi, whereas earlier I tested over ethernet.
I tested with this stream https://www.twitch.tv/proleaguecsgo

This message you sent me from about 2 days ago is word for word the exact same message as what CC sent me this afternoon.
Even the stream screenshot is the exact same, no other info on the issue was disclosed from CC.

I have no words.

I run a few tests for the CC guys :)
I can only recommend to continue to submit tests to the team to see where you trouble is coming in.

That is not my point. So when I was having an issue yesterday and ran tests no tests were done from CC's side? CC posting test data from 2 days ago shows to me that they aren't running tests while there is an issue.

This is shady af

The middle of the day and this is what YT looks like

Can't really say much without the context there, do you have a ref# I can look at?
I'm certain that our CC team are not trying to pull the wool over your eyes here - but please continue to troubleshoot with them, they're the best guys for the job.

I'm not saying they aren't the best guys for the job, what I'm saying is reusing test data, two day old test data is wrong.
Do you agree?

I know CC have work to do but a ticket was created for a reason. AG this is BS and you know it, shameful.

Again, I can't say much more without the proper context there.
Please confirm the ref#

Ticket ID: SJG-752-53022
Department: Afrihost - Critical Care
Priority: High

Thanks.
I'll get some feedback and action on this ASAP.

EDIT: If I check the ticket, we're simply passing on tests done in the same region, my tests. Either way I've asked our team to review the conversation and get back to you.

YouTube's refusing to stream at all. On any resolution. So I guess I'm part of the growing group of people with recent streaming problems.

I'm in Cape Town, and it only started recently. Speed for other stuff seems fine.

@AfriGuy, what can I do/send, and to whom, to figure this out?

Yup. Also having problems for YouTube. Did a speedtest at fast.com line still at 4mb but YouTube just refuse to stream.

Seems a bit sluggish for me too :(
