Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Darn it, not again. Last i spoke to Telkom, my exchange not even half its capacity. I blame this on Afrihost :D all the sign ups now.. Boooo ;)

Who believes Telkom :p

I bet you if you phone them 3 times you'll get 3 different answers :D

Plain and simple, if all ISP's have the same problem, then it's Telkom who is the common denominator. Your stats look good, I would ignore the CRC errors, I think that has something to do with interleaved mode, my errors are sitting on:

Upstream Downstream
Current Rate(kbps) 1020 18429
Max Rate(kbps) 1244 21704
SNR Margin(dB) 13 6
Line Attenuation(dB) 11 23.5
Errors(pkts) 829 16545

And yet I can download at linespeed 24/7.

Super keen to get this weekend started :D
54 mins and counting!!
Me too, but out tonight from 7pm to who knows what time with Neighborhood Watch duties :D

So tomorrow its feet up to catch the Springboks try and play rugby lol

So why the hell are you moaning :D ;)

like i said, i can stream youtube at 1080p, netflix is okay and websites load okay. The only thing is my download speeds just doesnt want go more than 4mbps and my upload test just times out.

Definitely a problem with youtube, getting 1Mb max on all videos...

Edit: Nvm, seems to be a problem with local caching.

Not moaning :D

Maybe ask Telkom to put you on another port?

I'll happily test the video if you post the link. :)

Ok no youtube is definitely a problem. Some videos are fine (although they start out really slow).

Does refreshing help the video throughput at all?
Are you able to determine the source IP you're being served content from?

Alright guys, I'm going to call it a day :) I'll be back on Monday morning.
AfriFella will be around shortly to take over until around 8pm tonight.

Have an epic weekend!
