Hi,

Is the Afrihost website down? Also, pings to google dns seems to be routing internationally. Is there a problem?

Just confirmed that we rolled out a new Google cache server yesterday. Some services like Android updates, Youtube and other Google related stuff might see higher latency until the server has finished caching.

So this means Afrihost will no longer use mweb for Google CDN?

Can't confirm that as I don't have the specifics this Friday evening. We'll have to continue testing your problem once the cache has updated.

I hope a Facebook Cache cluster is on the way? Facebook videos still buffering non stop, Facebook videos seem to pull from the Akamai Mweb Cluster on the 197.83 range.

I just want to say what is wrong with the network and not in a bad way.

My line has been flying on everything, downloads are maxing out even torrents which was a surprise and the past 2 days i didn't buffer once on twitch while it was on source.

Latency also went from 40ms locally to 20ms and international went from 210ms to 185ms. I just hope it stays this way i never received this pure internet bliss

I'm not sure. From what I can tell, this sorted out ping issues they had yesterday during peak times. Then again not everyone is getting their max speed to google anymore.
