No issues reported on their website, I think this might just be the push I need to move away from afrihost, just knowing other ISP users are enjoying their internet on the weekend and I can't frustrates me

Something not right this morning. Daughter watching Netflix and resolution refuses to climb above 240. This on my 20mb ADSL.

Maybe an Eastern Region issue seeing as PE is also slow?

I'm in PE. I can't watch watch anything on YouTube. Changing over to Google DNS to see if there is any joy.

Also in PE. Crawling on 40mbps line (perfectly healthy stats).

Backup WA account the same.

Someone broke something, somewhere !

But happened sometime after 6am when an nntp download finished at full speed.

Urgh.

Something seriously wrong.

Cant even stream something and traceroute a mess.

I need to watch the Springboks game

I have to concur with the guys above.

Cape Town is broken today, honestly its been getting worse over the last week but this is absurd.

Come on Afrihost, get your house in order. You go on a promotional bender and now the regular paying customers get hit with this?

I'm on 10M Business uncapped btw.

just about made it here to post internet is totally down the crapper other isp works fine
looks like we are back to last years problems

You know the thing that gets me.

I go to the afrihost website, look at network status, all green, search for western cape. Everything ok. Then I call support, 14 in queue, hang up. Ok, something's up. Check network status. Then I find this thread.

I've tested other accounts and it is definitely afrihost experiencing issues. Read thread.. been going since 6 am. More than 3 hours of ****ty net for afrihost users. Check status, all green. This can't be true. Surely a cache issue? Hard refresh. All green.

To not update your network status, Afrihost, is probably one of the most idiotic things I can conceive of. Instead of using your network status feature you waste your customers' time (and air time) and get them all riled up and talking about abandoning your deteriorating network.

Gian, if you're real and listening and not too busy composing spam emails, do everyone and yourself a favour and teach someone at your company how to update the network status. I'm sure someone there has the skills to do it. Then, and here's the really smart part, when there is a network issue, get someone to put it up there on the network status as if you were a professional company.

Just yesterday I said that I haven't had any problems for weeks!

Now i have got people over this weekend. Last night the Currie Cup streamed perfect.

This morning everyone gets up exited about the game only for me to say "Sorry guys my internet is broken"

Red faced

Anyone got a guest account I can borrow to watch the game?

Will gift you a 250gb Afrihost ADSL Data voucher
