Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Today a gentleman by the name of Oscar called me and all I can say is - WOW what a difference. Professional, articulate, no nonsense, customer driven. We've been with Afrihost for many years and I have never experienced this level of service from an Afrihost representative. There was no excuses, no irrelevant test requests and no BS. This guy had one mission - solve the problem. He did in 5 hours what many others could not do in two months.
Our account was incorrectly mapped and it was subject to shaping. When Oscar called me back I was under the impression that we'll first have to do some tests. There was none of that. I updated a Windows computer and for the first time, the updates downloaded at full line speed. Thank you so much Oscar - you, my friend may not be famous but you are a Legend in my book!

Oscar heads up our Critical Care team, glad to hear we're making progress.

If I ever have an issue that needs critical care, I have booked Oscar in advance. @jmacc, you have uncapped or capped?

Trying a live stream from youtube as well. Buffers for 20 seconds, then plays 5. At 144p!

You'll have to troubleshoot fast - that iPhone won't last long under water :crylaugh:

(Videos are otherwise fine as long as they are cached.)

Weird that you were shaped. Now I'm worried if I'm not mapped incorrectly. Not that I check my windows update. The only update that was slow was the iOS10 update.

What tests can 1 do to determine if there's any sort of shaping? Anyone?

I tested through my iPad. Get a playback error at 720p and at 480p refuses to play. Just buffers. There is an issue
