It's still a relatively new product when compared to Premium and Business Uncapped![]()

Should be OK in that case.
Is your router doing any DNS forwarding/ caching?
Hehe![]()
It is, but only up till the TTL value from the response received from the upstream DNS. This hasn't been a problem before. I've just disabled it and I'll see if this makes a difference. It works 100% during the day, though - the problem only started at about 8PM each night - about the same time as what I saw several other people reported problems starting, so I doubt it's on my side.
Thats strange then. With free time between midnight at 6pm, one would have assumed that most people would do most of their things during those times. I know that sounds strange, because most people get home from work around 5 or 6pm, so it might be busier.
what are your general stats looking like? hows browsing, and so on?
Browsing is fine. The only issue is Youtube - every other site worked. I even tried starting a download and it maxed my line using only a single running thread. Honestly, I'm not too worried about this, since I have an easy workaround - I just mentioned the issue since other people also reported problems starting at 8PM in case it helps anyone when trying to diagnose.
My performance has been solid the past few weeks!

Hi, I changed my DSL Access password at 12.20 on clientzone until now it didn't disconnect. Why?
I just wanted to inquire something. What is essentially the difference between capped and business uncapped other than the one obviously having a set cap?
I noticed when I do 2 updates (same time) through App Store on business uncapped, both run fast but through the capped account, until 1 update is finished, the other will be slow.
Ill swap you Midnight Buffet for a Laptop? :crylaugh:
Can someone from Afrihost please explain why you shape Windows Update and Apple App Store traffic on a capped account. Your website clearly states that capped accounts are not shaped. I have been trying to patch a handful of devices today and it has been an absolute nightmare! If I manually download the Windows updates, the http download via browser runs at full line speed. The Afrihost website reflects the network status as "running like a bomb" yet the service is unusable.
