Getting a 55+ ping. What's happening? Downloads are below 200 kB/s on a 4Mbps line
 
My PMs have been ignored for the entire day. Absolutely wonderful work you guys!

From 172.18.1.162 on my latancy is much higher than yours.

But you have a very high latency on your internal network between you device and your router.

I'll be going through the thread, post by post, but I can already see that it doesn't look like things were great in the South over the week. Our Team is going through the results that have been posted here, but for now it would really help us a lot if you guys can indicate which type of ADSL account you are on, and the DNS Servers that you are using at the moment.

So since Thursday I've been unable to stream, no reason has been given.

I provided tests for every day since Thursday only to be told "Our Team is going through the results that have been posted here", has there been any info from the team? We never heard anything beyond "Our team is going through the results".

My streaming has been solid.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience. :( Your tests have definitely not been ignored. We are in constant contacting with our NOC and Network Team sending through test results. :)
 
Which exchange area?
I am one of the Cape Town users that can't stream in the evenings and am on the Hout Bay exchange downstream of Winburg Exchange.

Wynberg CPT.
I connect to Wynberg 13 IMAX 4.

What streaming doesn't work for you? I'm running a few Ubuntu updates on my VMs and streaming Play Music to my Chromecast without any issues.
 
Hi to all in the South (Capetown folks). :) Our Network Team are reporting improved results in the South. Would those who have been worst affected please report back if anything has improved? I've PM'd a couple of you already. :)
