:(

You definitely shouldn't be seeing latency that high on your DSL line. The latency on your DSL line shouldn't really go above 25ms to 36ms.

Is it only this time of day that you see the latency start increasing?

Hi, yes, it follows the same time bracket pattern that other users reported
this is my current stats:

Zertop's LineTool Results
Date/Time: Tue Nov 15 00:31:28 CAT 2016

Basic Report:

Your packet loss was 0%.
Your average ping was 23ms.
Your maximum ping was 25ms.

Looking at your average ping, your line seems to be running perfectly.
It seems that your maximum ping is also good. If there are any issues, they most probably lie with your ISP

FHD Youtube isn't loading for me. Can do 720p but no 1080p, just shows the little loading wheel.

Anybody else having issues?

Edit: nevermind - problem seems to have been resolved.

I have very similar problems with Afrihost in the evenings. Capped account on 10mb line. Im in Cape Town.

Struggle to Stream anything after 4pm. If a stream does start it will work for a minute or two then buffer until the page is refreshed.

Have done tests and pings to bras and all is fine...DSTV now does not allow pinging
This was from Saturday afternoon:

mde@HPM:~$ ping bras.afrihost.com -c 5
PING bras.afrihost.com (155.239.255.250) 56(84) bytes of data.

That's not good... Have you received a ticket reference number? If you haven't, have you tried submitting the request through the ClientZone?

The Afrihost website issue that was there yesterday - is still there.

So there is something wrong there...either on the back-end of your site or with the coding.

Can someone at AH do a line feasibility test for me please, I randomly used the ADSL check from telkom and got this result.

Would be nice if it was correct.

Unlikely. It merely means that you would be connected to an ISAM but the DP is too far to qualify for the 20Mbps and 40Mbps. They will only offer you 10MBps on ADSL2+ Sad really because VDSL will work for you it's just Telkom won't allow it....

Yeah... In theory the accounts should be identical... The Afrigreen accounts will probably be phased out in due time, so it's better to switch to the @afrihost.co.za account and stay on that.

Ok, will stay on for now and check. Had issues earlier this year, where Usenet was useless on the Afrihost account. Will check and test

If you notice this happening again, please let me know!

But my stats are kinda rubbish...

The SNR and attentuation look decent, and on those stats alone your DSL line should be able to handle 10Mbps, but I'm seeing a lot of Port Errors over the past 4 days. :(

Do you see a dip your line performance at times?
