Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. The management page should really have what you just said in big writing.

Also, I'm currently on a 200+200 capped with Afrihost+ totalling 800GB.
Does this mean that if I switch to Priority boosted it will be a 200GB account? And with Afrihost+ will be 400GB of unshaped data?

Yup! So if you go for the Priority-Boosted option and you add Plus+ you will get 400GB of Unshaped Data as well as getting the 00h00 to 18h00 Free-Time. :)

Thanks for clearing everything up, as long as Afrihost has the option for a completely unshaped service I will be subscribed.

Last question then you can go have a whisky. At the end of the month I will have around 500GB of rollover data from this month. Will that be lost or will the rollover data be converted to the Priority Boosted data?

And if things go that pear-shaped, it will be the Home Uncapped, Premium Uncapped and Priority Uncapped that will be shaped before the Shaped Capped.

My quote was for you Priority Capped Boost or whatever you are now trying to call the UnShaped UnCapped account.
You only mentioned the known shaped accounts but my quote shows that unshaped may be shaped too.

Out of curiosity, how often have you had to implement shaping on your packages that currently carry a shaping policy?

Our Home Uncapped and Premium Uncapped accounts we shape pretty regularly particularly during peak-times, but the shaping is applied dynamically to specific services so it won't always be case of having your P2P and HTTP downloads running at a significantly reduced rate.

I'll need to double-check for you, but I'm pretty sure the roll-over data will be Priority-Boosted.

Thank you, best to trial run in January and change to booster thingy if required, bit difficult to make an informed decision right now.

Thanks also for the double data and free time..guess all good things come to an end sometime.

As I said, that page only refers to the products listed on that page.

None of the steps indicated on that page will ever be applied to Priority-Boosted Capped accounts.

I think that's best, it's difficult to judge the product without actually trying it out.

We really do think this is the best way to make sure that each of our Clients get the right service for their needs. :)

1) From what package upwards does one need to be subscribed to, to get the midnight to 6pm free time data?
2) Will this be FROM 1 January 2017 Permanently, or up UNTIL 31 December 2016.
On the mybroadband page it states from 1 January 2017, but on the Afrihost.co.za website it states until 31December very confusing.

Just a quick note to say I received a fairly service from the lad who took my call at your support. Fortunately I didn't need to wait too long before getting through.

Good news: my current experience isn't imaginary.

Bad news: Telkom couldn't sort the hitch over a phone call. Fault logged and I'll need to wait for it to be sorted.

Good news: I still have an internet connection... even if it does feel like watching paint dry.

and as I said that was on your Priority Uncapped page not the shaped page.

Please help clarify for your confused customers.

The current promotion is running until the 31st of December. Then from January onwards you will need to have a Capped DSL account that costs R299 or more to receive the 00h00 to 18h00 Free-Time.

Oh crickey! I'm sure your DSL Line issue will be resolved ASAP!

The More Info link takes you to the Network Management page that gives a breakdown of how shaping will be applied to the Home Uncapped, Premium Uncapped, Business Uncapped and Shaped Capped accounts.

The Priority-Boosted Capped accounts are described as Unshaped, Capped accounts and that's exactly what they are.

I think what what afrihost should have done is added free time data and unshaped priority including double data to it afrihost plus addon it would made things more simpler.

For example take for instance starting at 100gb going for R99 and then add afrihost plus and it becomes unshaped and double data with now total 200gb and 18 hours of free data you then pay R199pm
