Afrihost New Network Feedback

I understand your outlook, even though I have praised the network, I have also pointed out it has been inconsistent.

If every account of everyone that feels AH was not being consistent was cancelled in this manner, then I understand, but this is not the case, is it? ... It just comes down to the fact that instead of asking my honest opinion or taking into account that I have stuck around for months on this network regardless of performance, I was told to politely F-off by the CEO.

I understand it was not you and like I said, I will move on as requested.

Just all feels very unprofessional to me, but yeah.

Anyway, Thanks for the help once again, I did mail the CC team thanking them as well :)

:::EDIT:::

If Gian had just asked me, I would have been happy to stop posting here and would have dealt only with the CC team. I also would have been happy to wait and see if the issues could be solved. I mean I stuck around through worse than this when AH was really struggling.

As AfriMan pointed out, it was not that you were posting on this Thread, our Critical Care Team and Networking Team spent a great deal of time with you, and they were not able to provide you with an experience that was satisfactory to you.

Lots of people complained where they asked to leave as well ?

So I complained along with half this thread and more than once people shouted they were going to leave ... ... But nvm I get it.

Just to re-iterate once again, you were not asked to leave because of the posts on this and the other Threads.

It was due to lack of resolution and progress in getting your account to perform in a satisfactory manner, it really had nothing to do with your posts here.

If we aren't able to help you get the sort of performance that you want, and you are not happy with that service, at some point we have to take steps to make sure that you are able to get the service level that you want.

If I wanted to leave, I would have requested it. Simple as that

Anyone's connection just bork out as well? Terrible speed/latencies at the moment in JHB. Seems to come and go

The network is ticking all nicely at the moment, could you PM me your account details please.

@Afripeople.

Is there something wrong with my line line if my ping speed to afrihost.co.za is a constant 11ms and then the next day it jumps to 34ms?

There could be an intermittent issue on the line, how often has this been happening? Ideally a traceroute to afrihost.com should show us where the latency is being introduced into the connection.

It still syncs at the same speed. After port reset the ping result is the same.

A 2Meg line and a 4meg line theoreticly should have the same ping results.

What I meant was - it seems to be affecting most peoples local latency in some way. Lots of people reporting +30ms local.

In theory, yes. That being said, ideally I would still like to see a traceroute to find out what is going on.

Right so...Armored Warfare...packet loss. I spoke to Artur way back on the 30th of October and did some testing with him and his team. He said he was going to phone me back on the 2nd Nov. to see about the game profile. I never got a call or anything and since then I stopped playing AW since I thought maybe they ran into some difficulty and give them some time to work.

That time was extended due to other games coming out and so it's now the 24th of Nov. and I've tried AW again. Packet loss.

Has there been any progress?
