Hi Afrifella

Im a bit disappointed with regards to billing. I changed from a 20GB (R49) package, to a 50GB (R99) package on the 26th Nov. I know its after the 25th, but am i now being billed for the 20GB and the 50GB? I only expected the 50GB to be taken from my account, as i only received 50GB data and not the 20GB's.

Can you have a look for me please. I can PM you my username, if you dont already have it :)

It is all good and well that you are giving free data away from 00:00 to 06:00, but the experience of actually using the service is disgustingly bad. I am on a capped solution and can barely browse at the moment.

The idea is to allow clients the benefit of off-peak network availability during these times.

We're definitely not seeing general issues on the network at any time of the day. Have you been able to post some test results for us to have a look at?

Morning! :) No stress, I got your details from AfriGenie.

Upgrades are billed on a pro rata basis (No matter what time of the month). In your case it looks like you were billed for your 20GB package during the billing run - and then the pro rata fee for your 50GB upgrade. This is why you can see the two different products mentioned in your invoice.

Thanks :) sooo do i now get billed again, or at the end of December for the 50GB package?

Indeed! :) Normal billing will resume at the end of December and your 20GB package will be a thing of the past.

I will monitor and post if issues persist during these times.

SMTP server is blacklisted again

550 5.7.1 :127.0.0.5:Client host 169.1.1.72 blocked using 88.blocklist.zap; Mail from IP banned. To request removal from this list please forward this message to [email protected]

So I read the article on MyBB about the new uncapped accounts. I just want to make 100% sure.

As a Home Uncapped user do I basically become a Premium Uncapped user? Also, what's actually the difference now? The old Home Uncapped and the new Premium Uncapped are LITERALLY the same packages in terms of how they are shaped and what not, right?

EDIT: Nevermind, got a reply on the article from AfriGenie.

Thanks for the heads up. :) I have passed this info over to our abuse team. Would you mind sending me a PM with the sender and recipient email addresses?

Glad you got your reply! :) For the sake of everyone who doesn't know this on here:

Home Uncapped is a new product we have launched with a cheaper price tag. There is a usage threshold and throttling policy attached to it. More info regarding this can be viewed here

Regular Uncapped products will now be renamed to "Premium Uncapped" - these packages and benefits will remain untouched and exactly the same as they have always been.

Business DSL account will remain exactly as is, as well. :)

Is midnight - 6am data counted towards threshold?

Shouldn't be

Well, 00:00am - 06:00am Zero Rated data only applies to Capped products. :)

The Home Uncapped threshold gets counted no matter the time of day. What's important to note here is that the throttling policy of Home Uncapped products can be relaxed during these off peak hours, even if you have reached your threshold.

What is the threshold, I see when you try signing up on a 4mb bundle the monthly cost is R499 and it says you get 5.00 TB but your article says the threshold on a 4mb is 80GB. I also need to know if it will still work on concurrent connections, I use two phones, a laptop and an LG smart TV for youtube, and news channels. This is working well on capped account.

You might be mixing up thresholds with bandwidth allocation here. :)

The threshold for 4Mbps Home Uncapped is 80GB (you can view thresholds here)

The 5TB you are referring to is the amount of data we allocate to Uncapped accounts in order to make them "Uncapped". If you happen to use up 5TB within a month (which I would applaud you for) we will just automatically allocate another 5TB to your account without you even noticing. :) Thus, you will remain uncapped.

Concurrent connections refer to the amount of DSL lines that connect to an account, not number of devices. :) Our Uncapped products can only connect to 1 DSL at a time. The number of devices connecting to your network is up to you.

Hope this helps! :)

I want 5TB on a capped account for the price of an uncapped one ;)
