Afrihost New Network Feedback

I've recently added a bunch of hosting packages onto my Afrihost account, and had some issues getting a particular domain to transfer. Just want to say that the Afrihost live chat and telephonic support has been outstanding. You guys have really jacked up your customer service.

That revolutionary ClientZone though :p

My family wanted to try out Crystal Web for November. I'll probably switch back to Afrihost from January. AH is by far the most affordable ISP for Telkom FTTH. It will also be nice having all my internet products in one place.

Really glad to hear our team of rock stars has been able to assist, domain transfers can suck sometimes :(
All sorted now though?

I'll find out shortly. The domain is finally unlocked and the transfer request has gone through. It was only one transfer - the others were new registrations. Super slick process I must say.

Yeah it's by far the best of any ISP. Such a joy to use again.
 
Must say, I've been thoroughly impressed with Afrihost lately. While I do not use them as my primary ISP, I do have a few services with them. Network quality has dramatically improved, I'm very impressed, international latency is on par and sometimes better than an unshaped account on IS. I'm very happy with service levels as well, recently sent in a couple of tickets requesting assistance and received prompt and helpful responses. Keep it up.

For R299 pm I get 200GB data,free data 12am - 6am, Simfy sub and 500mb mobile data.Just crazy!!
 
Still see high latency, and also struggling to get above 2mbps on my line. My line is with Telkom, Data with AH but I would guess that TI having issues?

AfriGuy - any way to get Telkom to get a move on with fixing my line? Phone line and adsl been dead since Friday. Phone data running out...... Got a fault number etc. Just let me know what info you need me to pm. Thanks

I think AfriGenie escalated the fault for you, so we're definitely pushing on our end.
If there's a cable issue in the area it can take longer to resolve though.
 
It is all good and well that you are giving free data away from 00:00 to 06:00, but the experience of actually using the service is disgustingly bad. I am on a capped solution and can barely browse at the moment.

How is your capped account outside those hours?
