Does anyone know if the bandwidth monitor in ClientZone can give me a detailed usage report by the minute/hour, instead of just a daily report?

Torrents completely dead. Something wrong in Cape Town?
Speedtest is fine.

Torrents we flying for me in the North last night when I tested (at about 6pm and again around 10pm). Literally was the best I've ever got around 1.85MB/s.

Will check with our people in the South to see if they picked up anything on their monitoring :(

When they started to pick up speed at 22:30, they also maxed the line, but it took a while to start. Almost like they were blocked completely.

Definitely nothing would have been blocked on our side. I'll see if we were aware of anything that could have potentially affected torrent speeds specifically :(

Its funny reading some of the threads of the other ISP's at the moment. Only reason im saying that is, because i was under the impression that AH are the only ISP who had/has issues etc. In my personal opinion, not one ISP can safely claim to be bullet proof with their network.

speedtest to london SERVER ON MY 40MBPS VDSL LINE

LATENCY SHOULD BE 190 MS AND
WHAT IS GOING ON ?

Download Speed: 18350 kbps (2293.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2917 kbps (364.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

A network is such a living entity, people sometimes forget how many moving parts, companies and people are involved in getting that data packet from one side of the world to another. It's super complex, I'm sure the human body is less complex (probably not, doctors are superheros!)

I think this is because there is apparently a problem with the WACS cable?

I think that's still within reasonable range for UK, but we definitely prefer anything sub-200ms for EU. Can I see the full traceroute?

Okay, so I tested the 1GB account and I must admit, I'm really impressed!

I've signed up to a number of ISPs to compare apples to apples and AH won hands-down...with online gaming latencies at least.

I haven't tested downloads yet as it's only a 1GB account

D3 to EU servers latency sat at around 220ms, during peak hours last night, so well done to AH for sorting your network issues out.

You're a strong contender as I'm looking for a new ISP.

That is super awesome. You can upgrade your 1GB Free to any product you'd like, but maybe drop me a PM, I'll give you a link to get a discount on your first month with us :)

There is literally no difference between Afrigreen and afrihost.co.za - they are just different realms on the exact same network. Same hardware, same software, same policies.

...and yet, there is ALWAYS a difference in performance between the two.
Whenever one is slow in the day, I switch to the other, and the speed returns. At night it's the same thing (especially during peak 19:00 till 22:30).

I have noticed this right from the start, and it hasn't changed. The other interesting fact is that the Afrigreen account shows less latency.

Could you also tell me why the accounts' usage for each is not different in my CZ. From the outset, if I only use AH, my AG usage reflects the same usage, and the monthly usage is then the total of the two (ie. double what I have used).
