Are you downloading through a browser or a download manager? I've encountered many popular servers that are very slow for single threaded downloads.

I was just saving the video stream in order to prove at what speed it's going, it's a normal vid on facebook.

Easy way to test if FB is slow or Afrihost is:

- install the Flashgot addon for Firefox.
- have a download manager like Orbit.
- play any video on FB.
- click the Flashgot button and download the video in your download manager.
- check what speed you get.
- get another http download going in your download manager to compare with.

Without a comparative you can't determine anything.

Facebook page not loading. Unable to get gmail to refresh and it cannot connect to my other pop3 email servers. Also unable to connect to my vpn server. As per AH standard, all will probable work perfectly after 22:00. This means I can only start to work after 22:00 and have to go till late. Time to get things back to internet joy AH.

Edit: Switched to my WebAfrica backup account and all is perfect.

im having an odd issue. I changed my package from 150GB to 200GB. However, my package showed 150GB + 150GB, but now after changing it, its only showing me on a 200GB package. My AfriPlus is still very much active. Will this reflect on the 1st as 200GB + 200GB under my profile in Client Zone?

Did your Plus+ Benefits perhaps not get updated to continue using the current package?

AfriGenie,

StandardBank's Site is really slow, on Mweb and Telkom it is fine, only seems to be affecting Afrihost?

Sometimes it loads, then it doesn't. Seems only standardbank.co.za is affected.

And clue why?

Sorry to say goodbye Afrihost, but goodbye. This is the last day of the month, and from tomorrow I'll be with Crystal Web. The recent connection issues seem to be mostly resolved. I'm not hell-bent on moving, but my family absolutely insists on it. Lots of internet rage was induced this month and has not been forgotten.

:(

I'm sorry to hear that.

If I can help with anything going forward, you are more than welcome to drop me a PM.

AH reps, it's a bit concerning your support staff don't understand their own products or how they work!

Hi there,

I trust you are well.

Thank you for the email.

Please note that as per our terms and conditions normal data will NOT carry over the the following month and will be forfeited. Only topped up data will carry over to the next month.

Have a great day and please let me know if I can help with anything else!

Warm regards

Monthly Data Rollover

Monthly Data will only expire at the end of the NEXT month. This means that if you haven't used all of your monthly data by the end of the month, it will rollover to the next month. For example, if you get 10GB per month and you have 3GB left at the end of February, this 3GB data will rollover to March, giving you a total of 13GB to use until the end of March. Just another way we make your data go even further.

Topup Data Rollover.

All Data Topups purchased will only expire at the end of the NEXT month. For example, if you buy a data topup on 5 February, your topup data will only expire at midnight on 31 March - giving you even more value.

Are these jokers there just to waste peoples time hoping that they will just go away? I suggest Rhulani.N go learn his terms and conditions & the basic AH offerings before trying to offer support.

Can you please PM me the ticket ID for the query, I need to follow-up on this.

I had a 50 GB capped Afrihost account which I paused at the end of March because April was my notice month for canceling MWeb, so I wanted to use up all my MWeb data.
I'm rid of MWeb now and going all out Afrihost, I just changed my 50 GB capped account to a 150 GB and also unpaused it, but now client zone shows I only have 100 GB remaining for this month. Surely I was suppose to get 150 GB since it is the 1st of the month today?

Hi! :)

There should be a pro-rata allocation, but it shouldn't result in that much of a difference. Can you please DM me your username.
