I do not want to jinx it, but

Facebook - seems ok
Sipgate.de - Perfect
Skype - much better, but still breaks up every now and again (to be expected)
Teamviewer - perfect
Standard Bank - still slow at times, but works for the most part
Torrents - hard to say

Now #AfriTeam, I am really sorry for blowing up on the forum, when this started, my mind went straight back to MTN Network problems.
I thought all the wheels were coming off again, and could not bare the thought of moving ISP's, what a mission that would be.

Please hold the ball close to your chest, don't let it fall to the floor

Hi, so a question on my friend's behalf. He just upgraded his line from a 10mbit to a 20mbit in the last 2 hours and he's on your 200GB capped plan however he is only getting around 9mbit even though his router shows he is sync'd at 19200kbps. Is there a reason, like a wait period for the capped account to "catch up"?

About 3.4Mbps on a 4Mbps. My tool shows 3.62 actual usage though. I'm assuming that 200Kbps is lost due to routing?

Shouldn't be a wait from the data side of things, it'll use whatever's available :)
Does using the Telkom guest account show the same throughput?

Sometimes a reboot can help.

Can fully understand that's where the assumptions went, but things are different now :)
I don't bank with Standard, but their website seems OK for me - anything in particular that I can try and replicate?

Everything was fine this morning.....

That doesn't seem to be getting any better!? Has Telkom been in contact with you at all?

What sort of Afrihost account are you on at the moment? How is your line looking at the moment?

20Mbps capped account, nothing wrong with the line and torrents work perfectly on my Telkom account.

And guess what - p2p and Google play store updates up and down again. Http downloads and YT fine.

Would you mind PM'ing me your username quickly, and the exact services that are slower than what they should be.

Its really only torrents that i have noticed slower than usual, everything else seems fine. Im going to be using my telkom account over the next few days but i will pm my username anyway.

Tried my other router - same problem. Tested a Telkom account about a week ago - perfectly stable like it should be. This only happens between 7pm and 10pm. Otherwise perfect.
So it isn't my router(s), not my line, and Telkom account worked well. This is getting tiresome.

EDIT: tested an http download of ps4 update file from za.playstation.com - instant and constant full line speed. Did this while downloading the Ubuntu torrent given in one of the posts earlier today by one of the AfriPeeps. Stop the http download and speeds up and down again.

I concur,

Torrents dropped at 8pm from 1.1Megabyte/s to a mere 5kilobytes/s
Google play store is has been updating Facebook for the last 20mins (20MB file)
Facebook Videos are now buffering and images do not load
Skype is connected, by calls fail
Teamviewer can't hold a connection for longer than 30 secs, and has serve lag
Standard Bank took over 30 seconds to open
CNN not opening at all
Gmail gets half way then switches to basic view, stating my connection is slow

YouTube Full speed ahead running at 12mbps
Speedtest reports no problems http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5338745786
MyBB loads fine

I Jinx'ed it :(
