Seeing much better results now.
Any specific sites I can test though?

You may be, we're not... But hey, you're tired. Rather go to bed then I suppose. We can't expect world class support AND a world class network now can we. You can't even manage one, I can't see both working much better either.

Your peons (err, users), will just sit here and make alternative plans for connectivity YET AGAIN, so that WE can work, like we're supposed to.

Can we rather engage in a civil manner, as trying to communicate with posts like this is extremely hard.
I'm not solely in charge of the IPC, so while I may rest soundly, our network team will continue to work.

If you're still having issues, you need to post tests so we can investigate accordingly.

Both are on the same network as of the migration last week, whether you use @afrigreen or @afrihost.co.za it all routes via the same IPC.

You sure about that? There must be something up here...

Things still really slow for us. Pings to google DNS or google.com between 500ms and 1000ms

I posted numerous tests and traceroutes... What, do you want me to use google DNS rather? Oh wait, I can't reach google...

Once we have confirmed the issue, we'll update the noticeboard.

I guess your network team is still trying to confirm the existence of an issue...

Things are still good for me. Ping to Cape Town is a bit higher but it doesn't affect my browsing.

AfriGuy I have to say the single biggest thing pissing me off about Afrihost at this stage is the inability to have upfront proactive communication with your clients. This network status page has been complained about before, by myself and many other people. We keep getting excuses and promises about how this would be managed better in future.

Fact is that there has been a confirmed issue by many people on this forum, but your network page says all is well. As a client that page is my first port of call to see why my internet is slow. By you guys not updating that page you are outright lying.

I can guarantee you that the single biggest reason I would move away from Afrihost is this damn page and the lying around it. Get this sorted with upfront and honest information and you will gain my trust, but at this stage I cannot trust anything Afrihost does.

Trace route look fine. Is it only people in Cape Town and Durban who are affected?

We're still waiting for AfriHost and the Network Status page to confirm whom is affected... I guess we'll never know either.

Hehe, how your line manages to perform like this all the time is proper cool!
Are you hoarding your areas DSLAM in your garden? :p
I really don't know. You should probably look at what Telkom did to make it work like it does. :p

I can understand the frustration, we've passed on all the feedback received from you guys here though.
