I must say their support is *****, created a ticket earlier and I got an email now with the standard copy and paste response, do this, try that etc. They didn't even bother reading my ticket as I had speedtest and tracert results from them and another provider showing them that the issue is on there side, not with my line or router, and to top it off it would seem that the support staff are unaware the of issues in KZN :wtf:

My 10Mbps line doesn't show any signs of degradation in performance. :)

To be honest, if you live in Cape Town, your tests ALL show very high latency. It should NEVER be more than 15ms to a Cape Town server. So, even though you believe all is well, your stats show otherwise.

BTW, my stats and traces are better and look perfect, yet I have plenty of resets, timeouts, periods of inactivity, etc. It is now starting to look exactly like the old MTN network. This leads me to believe that the networks themselves are great, but the AH software, implementation and "management system" are the problem (as usual). :(

All one has to do is look at all the latency spikes on the 3rd and 4th hops to see that NOTHING has changed, and, unfortunately, it may get much worse :(

Connection regularly dropping out in Jhb. What's going on? Some feedback would be good.

Have had the same issue in Cape Town since the Production network went live (almost 2 weeks now). I average about 4 disconnects a day, with periods of timeouts throughout the day, even at 03:00 in the morning. :(

Are your stats to a JHB server almost the same then?

Crap Crap Crap!!! Rugby ftw. Tired of the Afrihost bull now...time for a move.

Flippen BS - last week for the Bok semi, the connection craps out like 1 minute before the match! Today the thing is barely working for the FINAL. Had to buy a prepaid ADSL account 5 mins before the match just so I can watch! Bloody unacceptable from AH.

Is there anyway that one can contact them? Every comms option seems locked and bolted.

they're all probably watching the RWC final....while their customers can't even stream on the brand new network:mad:

Bought the one from ITNT - remember they had that R1 a gb special and then they couldn't keep up with the demand. Well they still have packages that are of an OK price. There is also axxess but wasn't sure about going onto them cos aren't they on MTNs network and didn't want to take a chance..
