Twitch seams to be seriously up and down... :( Not sure if it has to do with the network (everytime :) ) because it's running quite well for me at the moment... Do you have a backup account that you can compare with?

PeerBlock doesn't like Twitch.tv but I tested it anyways. :p

Tested a video on twitch and it's playing without buffering.

Twitch.JPG

So I can stream some channels and not others ... This 1 I can watch on high with moderate buffering ... Others I can't watch on low ...

Can it really be that random ?
I don't know, this is the second time I visited twitch.tv. :o

Interesting... Have you been in contact with our CC Team recently? I believe they were still waiting for some tests from you?

Gave them all the tests I could Monday night and they seemed happy with the submitted information.

I also just mailed them some feedback on my experience yesterday which was amazing for the most part. (having multiple twitch streams running simultaneously was a first for me on AH)

:::EDIT:::

I have been pretty verbal about how AH has annoyed me lately but I must admit, yesterday was pure internet joy ... haha

Still annoyed that Gian never replied to my mail though ... haha

If you are on one of the new upgraded exchanges, you will always see 100% packet loss on the second hop, because the BRAS does not respond to ping.

Can you please ping bras.afrihost.com?

I have no idea if I'm on a new upgraded exchange, the building looks the same as it always did.

PING bras.afrihost.com (155.239.255.250) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 155.239.255.250: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=6.26 ms

Is that ok?

All I know is that at random times during the day the connection is slowing down.

There are no issues with Supersport streaming.
Please take a look at your PM so we can work towards a resolution.

Everyone is open to posting their results. Some are good, others aren't. Again, I really fail to see how worrying about other users results/ feedback is a healthy engagement. Let's just tackle your query and move on now.
I cringe when I listen to some on here, because over on the CW and Vox pages there are issues as well. You win some and you lose some. I understand the issues around paying for a service that's not working is crap, but surely providing tests in any situation is the way to go.

It's never a good feeling when you struggle to get an issue resolved, but I've come to learn that in tech world, things are never 100%.

But I.hope you guys can sort this user out, as he too deserves a good experience

If your exchange responds to pinging that IP, then you are probably on a new exchange :)

Can you run that test as well when you see speeds are slow so that we can compare to your overall traceroute?

AfriGents,

Please hereby accept my sincerest and humble apology for giving you stick yesterday and the day before. The reason for the high latency and bad download speeds on my network turned out to be due to no fault of yours. There seems to be a process on my W10 PC that is stuck on 62% of it's required download.

I have tried to cancel it, restart it, defer it and delete it, but nothing is working. I have asked the local MS guy working with us if he could have a look and he also admitted that it is polling for service at MS.com, causing the process to grab all the bandwidth it can to try and push the job through.

Again, sorry for taking it out on you and blaming the first scapegoat I saw.

To all the other guys on here who seem to be having issues, please check your local setup before taking to the forum to vent and point fingers. It's not nice feeling like a complete git and then having to apologise for being a dumbass.

On the contrary, no apology necessary. MASSIVE respect to you for posting an update, I think many would have jus kept quiet about it, and we really appreciate the update so that we can cross that off our list of potential issues.

Thanks so much :)

It's only fair - you guys have copped a lot of flack on these forums lately with me also climbing in and getting my 2c worth. Now, for once, the shoe is on the other foot and I can only empathize with you guys with what you have been through the past couple of months. Hats off to you okes for keeping your calm and staying so professional in dealing with arguably the most hostile and technically savvy people you will probably encounter.
