Connectivity should have returned to normal, routing via failover at the moment.
Can I take a look at some tests though please?
Good morning.

I didn't grab any tests. Will try if it crops up again.
But looks good again.

Thanks

Yes Business 4mb line, I am in Cape Town

Not great :(
If you see issues again this evening would you be able to run the tests I posted earlier in the thread?

Need to see how HTTP downloads and other services compare here.

Its been like this 2 night in a row now, but in the morning it seems to be back to normal.

Logically it seems that somehow we cape town based business users are being shaped in the evening or being blocked completely from P2P .

I don't use torrents i use news serves, so what kind of test would like me to do.

I did the HTTP test I think its on top of page 159.

Line was also dropping for period last night.

While it may feel like it, we do need to look at the data and see what the data says. I'd like to look at the full test results and take things from there.
Please complete the following, this is essentially just swapping torrents with NNTP.

Location
Account type
Business optimisation on/ off if you're on Business Uncapped
Local speedtest
International speedtest
Traceroute
NNTP, and what provider you're using
HTTP speeds on http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04.3/ubuntu-14.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso
FTP speeds on ftp://ubuntu.mirror.ac.za/ubuntu-release/14.04.3/ubuntu-14.04.3-server-amd64.iso

I know these tests are a pain, but it really does go a long way in spotting a trend that we can pass onto our team.
Just seeing slow downloads in the evenings isn't pointing us to anything obvious from our end.

Definitely no drops from our end, so not sure what underlying issues there are here.

No probs will happily do the tests this evening.

How long would you like me to run the downloads for?

what speedtest sites would you prefer me to use for local and international?

I normally just use speedtest.net

Thanks so much dude, really do appreciate it!
Maybe run those downloads for 15 mins or so, just enough for things to stabilise.

Speedtest.net is a solid option, otherwise you can use the MyBB speedtest too :)
