It's purely for testing, I know it's a pain though :(
Those stats are just stable, and it can affect your experience if it's borderline.

Fair enough, lets give it a go, couldn't get any worse.

Now answer me this,

How do you propose we actually fix this issue instead of trying to cover it up?

Did you have any issues before the line upgrade though?

EDIT: I believe you've been in touch with our team on Twitter. An escalation request to our Critical Care team is being created - they'll be in touch and troubleshoot with you further.

Yes, I would have line drops from time to time but it was never this severe.

You still haven't answered my question.
It's with their critical care team, so they will look at resolving. Doubt AG or AH is trying to cover up anything. Hope you get sorted though

Our Twitter team has created an escalation with our Critical Care team - so they'll be able to spend some one on one time with you to have this fixed up.
 
Ok so now my SNR margins are down the ****ter (and they were fine before)

I cannot download (getting less than 100kbps) can't twitch ... cant game ...

If your SNR margins dropped that means your DSL line itself is probably the cause of the degradation in service. The storms over the past few days have been causing havoc with DSL lines and Exchanges.

If you PM me your ADSL username quickly, I can check on the status of your DSL line.

You are pointing the finger at the wrong people, only Telkom can fix your DSL line. Afrihost rely on Telkom for this. If Telkom don't come to the party what do you expect Afrihost to do? Even if you moved to another ISP you would have the same problem.

If a Client's ADSL line is managed by Afrihost, we will always do our best to make sure that any issues are addressed as quickly as possible. The problem is that even if the DSL line is with Afrihost, we still have to deal with the same infrastructural limitations and problems that the line would have if it were with Telkom.

But if it was my actual line then the test accounts from WA/VOX would not work as well.

I am struggling only when using the AH details.

Now that is something that we need to investigate, since there is no possible reason for that to be happening at the moment. I've updated the Critical Care Team, we need to get to the bottom of this.

Well I am finally able to stream on twitch on AH ... The specific stream I am on is in 720p and I am getting 3500kbps (figured it should be higher, but not sure)

1080p on YT is buffering ever so slightly ... Download speeds are still pathetic though capping @ 5Mbps

Restarted the router again and it seems that I can now Twitch/YT without issues (if I stream and then browse though it immediately buffers)

Download speeds are still suffering (p2p is basically dead for me and getting around 400Kbps on steam)

That seems to be around the bandwidth that Twitch uses for 720p.

Which download service are you seeing hitting 5Mbps?
 
I am on a 10Mbps ADSL line in Cape Town area (100GB capped) and my streaming has just ground to a total stop. I have had brilliant streaming all day today and now this:

Download Speed: 1423 kbps (177.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 843 kbps (105.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 28 ms

So much for the great NEW network. Surely by now you must have got your act together so that we can have consistency. And no, it is not my exchange as back-up account operating at virtually full speed.
 
So moved from my IS and Telkom softcap to a Afrihost 100GB with plus+ and wow so far this account is really freaking awesome compared to the others. I thought IS was good but so far and take note so far it has been Pure internet Joy with the Afrihost account.
