That's on a 10 MB connection. :wtf: And why the eff does my local speedtest go to Joey? Your CPT IPC broke again or wot??? I for my part can hardly wait for fiber and professional ISPs taking matters in their hands. I bet as soon as the fabled Canadians left the premises the AH crew started fukin things up again, cost cutting, service cutting and being their usual sloppy SAfricans, living up to all the stereotypes. I hope your boerewors slips into the charcoal at the next office braai! :mad: So, what now??
So what's stopping you from leaving ? You seem to fit the ill-mannered stereotype very nicely...

Hi AH. So I woke up this morning to a completely dead line - no dial tone on the phone and no Internet. You guys manage my line, so can you please see what is cooking?
Let me know to whom I must PM my number. Thanks.

That's a Telkom issue unfortunately :/

AH can only manage the ADSL section of the line, and aren't legally allowed to repair physical Telkom infrastructure.

Thanks. I realise they can't do anything as far as repairs etc but they can deal with Telkom (the reason I pay them to manage my line) ie logging a fault, escalating the fault if necessary, finding out more info etc.
 
any idea when the Client Zone usage graph will be fixed, I posed a while back about the daily usage missing on the graph?

I know that it's something we'd like to do but I don't think we're prioritising that over other essential work. Remember that you can always import your usage reports into excel to structure them as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a bad experience, but I do think this is a little unfair. Firstly, this is definitely not enough information to assume that this is a region wide issue and not limited to your connection, so we should definitely do more troubleshooting before we draw that conclusion.

Secondly, our South African IT people are very qualified and experienced. The only reason we use overseas people is that they are the actual vendors of the technology and we want to make sure we get the information from the horses mouth. We have no reservations about using local expertise, and the people that do the bulk of our configuration and management are local and very qualified and trusted within the industry. Assuming they're not up to the task doesn't do justice to the amazing job they've done on the network so far and the fact that they've built national (and international) infrastructure in a few short months. They are definitely the right people for the job and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Your comment about the boerewors - that's just mean! :(
