Afrihost New Network Feedback

I'm always impressed at how good YouTube works with Afrihost. There are never any dropped packets or slow connectivity. :)

What has happened to Afrihost ADSL as it is too slow to use since lunchtime. My Speed test now 0.10Mbps http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4990626753

Evening!

I'm not seeing any issues on our side at the moment. That latency is very worrisome. Could you run a traceroute to Afrihost.com please. Would you mind sending me a PM with your details so that I can check for any issues in your area.

If I top up, do I get double data or only the top up data?

You have the 2-for-1 Top-up Benefit from your Plus+ subscription linked to your DSL account, so any top-ups that you purchase will be doubled. :)

I have been using my AH account on and off for a while as it was really really bad when you were having your network issues with MTN as your backbone. Must say the new network is far more impressive.

@ AfriGenie; I upgraded my account from a 4MB to a 10MB as Telkom changed my line from FastPath to Interleaved. The FastPath was hellishly unstable at 10MB and 4MB was the only stable option. On Interleaved the 10MB is 99.9% stable. I have sent you a PM to please assist as, after the upgrade in the ClientZone, it is still only offering 4MB Speeds.

Kudos on the new network though.

Morning! :) Thanks for your great feedback! It's no secret that we've worked super hard to to give you guys the new network!

Afrigenie is only expected in later, but I'll be happy to look at your account in order to resolve this quickly! Just drop me a PM.

Any chance you guys might consider changing the after hours by an hour earlier? I normally fall asleep by 00:00 :D

Scheduler... I go to bed at 10 most nights. I really would not want to wake up at 6am.
You can also try something like this if it is HTTP: http://www.netlimiter.com/
You could force it to be slower so it's just fast enough to keep the connection. I use it for Origin, it still does not have a download limiter after all these years, crappy EA.

Any one having trouble with Afrihost International access?
