I'm not seeing general issues at the moment. We're testing from Cape Town and all seems normal. Looks like your running your network through an exchange or proxy. Not sure if that is related.

Do you have any other ISP accounts that you can test with to see if you get the same results? Please also PM your username so I can pass onto the network team if they need to investigate from their side.

Setup is Lan > Firewall > Modem , should be pretty standard..

Hi AfriPeeps

A quick question, currently I have with you:

10Gb Capped
20meg ADSL line bundled with discount
500meg mobile

And with Vox(I bailed just before AfriGreen to my shame):
150Gb with uncapped afterhours for R164

I'm looking at a way to get everything under one roof again at you guys for as close to the amount I'm paying right now but with line bundles and what not I'm thoroughly confused... What would be the closest at you guys?

We can do a 150GB / 20Mbps line Capped Bundle for R675 (https://www.afrihost.com/site/product/capped_dsl_bundles?src=website_nav)

Remember that this package will have after hours "uncapped" data :)

Nearly double the data cost from what I'm paying at Vox... Although not your fault that special was madness, however I'll keep it in mind if these Vox issues continue.
It would be tough for them to match a special like that though. What is Vox current pricing on this deal?

R369, ya it's turning out to be the worst half price deal ever cos I'm now stuck with it.

EDIT: can you still use AH+ to double ADSL data? A 100GB account and Plus works out to the same as a 150GB account.

In Durban....is AF doing some maintenance or something?

Cheap is not always better. But hey, sometimes you gotta hold onto a special.

Hope you come over to the fun side of the internet again ;)

Yes you can use Afri+ for double data. You just need to specify you want to double up your dsl data.

It actually works out cheaper than the 150GB Vox account I think. I think for 200GB's data you pay something like R298 which includes mobile data, and a soft cap once you reach your full cap which is nice.

Afrihost Still Slow at

Evening!

I'm not seeing any issues on our side at the moment. That latency is very worrisome. Could you run a traceroute to Afrihost.com please. Would you mind sending me a PM with your details so that I can check for any issues in your area.

I have contacted Afrihost support and after a 40 minute wait and spoke to Vaughn and he used Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Client and played with settings but was unable to fix the problem.
I know it is not my PC as I do a speed test on my phone connected to the WiFi and the connection is still extremely slow.
I have factory reset my router and reentered the password etc.
The speed can pickup for a minute but then goes slow again.
I am lost as what to do next?
