@AfriFella; My ADSL is dead slow... Vredehoek, Cape Town. I've topped up my account (thinking it was that because it was low) restarted the router - changed accounts (WebAfrica, then it worked fast again) and now back on Afrihost account and it's dead slow. Nothing loads... It only recently started. Line syncing at 4mb.

And, like clockwork.... around the middle of the night, my DSL starts disconnecting every 60 seconds again. It will continue doing this until 6am.

Afrihost is flying for me in PE, although upload has decreased a bit for some reason.

That's very strange... How long were you connected with the Web Africa account?

Are you using custom DNS at all? Were you able to run a speedtest?

Is your DSL line itself dropping sync? Are you noticing a drop in speed as well?

Just a word of thanks for listening to our request to bring back detailed daily usage in Client Zone. Very glad to see that this useful function is back. Great service!!

Does the daily usage include midnight data? Because there is no way that i had used 17GB's in one day lol my average daily usage is around 5GB's :wtf:

on the 10th and 11th is the day i started to download that 12GB file, which basically took me 2 days to complete :D 10th shows i used 14GB's and the 11th around 17GB's.. so would i assume the daily usage calculates midnight data in as well?

No problem! :) I'm glad you're enjoying the functionality!

Very odd.
Any services running in the background previously?

There shouldn't have been but I cannot be certain. Thank you for your help.

Btw Telkom has been laying down fibre cables along the road, would you know if that means I will be getting fibre or does Telkom normally do that to connect exchanges etc? My area isn't on Telkom's timetable for fibre so was just wondering.

If the area's covered you can get it :)
We don't have bundles just yet, so we can't do the line rental at this stage.

So is there any timeline regarding getting the bundles? Naturally you cant commit to anything, but whats the plan? When I contacted your sales people earlier this year, they said "in the next 6 months". Just wondering if that's accurate.

There's no hard timeline on fibre bundles/ line rental options just yet - we are working on it though :)

After I posted the post - about 30 minutes, I rebooted the router again with the intention of changing to the WA account - but forgot, once the reboot completed, the line was fine again.

I'm monitoring...

It will yes.
If you check the data links it'll show how much has been used from your normal monthly vs your midnight data link.
