What's going on with Youtube? Can't stream even 720p without severe buffering. Did a speed test and I'm getting over 90Mbps. Also tried rebooting router. Network adapter shows only 1-2.4Mbps being used when trying to stream Youtube.

Edit: Tested Netflix and Vimeo and they stream 1080p with ease. Downloads working normally too. Just browsing Youtube is sluggish compared to normal, never mind trying to play videos.

Very odd :(
Can you let me know what DNS servers you're using please?

Mind changing to Google's DNS to see if this helps the throughput levels at all?

Tried. It's still rubbish.

Very odd. All looks good here.
Drop me a PM with your DSL username and I'll see what's going on :)

Will do shortly. I fired up the ISPAfrika 10GB account that is included with my line, and Youtube is streaming the best I've ever seen anything stream. A 720p 3.5 min video loaded in its entirety in about 4 seconds. When browsing Youtube, every page and all its thumbnails snaps into view instantly.

Thanks, I'll need to see where this is coming in from our end. Will check my inbox in a bit.

I'm currently having the same issue as Bryn. Speed is all over the place with Youtube. Buffering on 720p. 4mbit line.

Is your modem currently using the fault Afrihost DNS?

Set to default. 169.1.3.2. YouTube is no longer having issues ATM though. Full speed now. Testing on the same clip.

It was going anywhere from 1300kbit to 2200 up to 2800 and back down. Now it's a constant ~3600.
