All of the totals are gathered from accounting packets sent/ receiving from your line and totalled up :)
Do you think you're using less data than what's being reported on ClientZone?
Yes. The graph and logs look right, showing about 70 gigs normal and 90 gigs night time. It's the amount for night time only that shows about 200 gigs that I don't understand.

All the data is counted in the same way :)
Drop me a PM with your DSL username and I'll take a look at the data links from my end.

Yes, the night data amount is still calculated as double the amount actually used. Surprised it's STILL not fixed :D

I did chat to our Devs about this a while back, and it's calculated exactly the same as normal data - just taking the hours into affect obviously :)

Are you seeing a double data allocation on your midnight data?

Can someone explain to me how Afrihost calculates your data used. This is my third month with them and I still don't understand it. According to the graph I've used about 165 gigs of data in total for the month so far but night time data shows I've used 203 gig for just night time. I'm confused

There is a problem with night time usage, at least in my case, where it shows double of what I've downloaded.

For example:

My 10mb line can do about 4 GB/hour, so between midnight and 6am I can do about 24GB. After 1 night downloading, night time usage show 50 GB which is impossible.

I've brought this to their attention but 3 months later it is still an "issue".

Yes I'm still seeing it doubled..it probably does have something to do with AH+ as it is weird not everyone is picking it up. It's really not a big deal though..just pointing it out :)

Very odd. If you guys are still seeing issues with this and have some local data capturing we can compare our collections with - log the feature on ClientZone and our Dev guys can check it out directly :)

Saw your pm but I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say. My logs and the graph are fine they show around 70 gigs normal and 90 gigs night time which I agree with. It's just that my night usage shows as 203 gigs which as mentioned above is double my amount and for some strange reason my month started with 20 gigs night time already used.

I'll query this with our Dev guys, do you have local data that we can look at as a comparison?

Not really but like I said your graphs and logs are correct it's just your tool which shows after hours data usage shows an incorrect amount.

Hi AfriGuy

Are you able to bump my line up to 8mb again please. I will pm you the tel number.

Thanks

We will need to see data as a comparison though, mind setting something up?

I tested on the first of this month, only nzb's running that night. It was exactly double the amount I used that was shown on client zone. You can basically say it is exactly doubled.

Edit: SABnzbd captures usage data.

I know it's a pain, but if I escalate that to our Dev team to look at I know they're gonna ask for data.
Maybe setup some local data collection so we have something to compare with?

I'll do it on the 1st of next month..will be easiest to show I think. If I can remember that is :)
