Seriously. Last messages from 'critical' care was 9:17am yesterday. Streaming is diabolical every evening. I wish they'd just leave me with that Vox test account until the end of the month.

Is there a ticket ref# I can chase up for you? Our Critical Care guys are always forthcoming with feedback.

What on Earth???

Really now, and your support agent:

Oscar here from Afrihost Critical Care.
Our Social Media asked us to investigate & help speed up the pending problem you have been experiencing.

I have had a look at the MTR results you sent through, as well as the session logs history for your connection.
As far as the MTR results the packet loss does not carry over through the rest, & it isn't coupled with high latency. There is no reason to be alarmed by it, it could simply be rate limiting on ICMP packets.
The latency to the BRAS is amazing as well.

Is there anything in specific that is affecting your experience on the net that we could zoom into & tackle?

The session logs may indicate an infrastructure or hardware issue - unless the disconnects can be accounted for.
Please see attached the intermittent disconnects, the times & reason.
If not accounted for, it might be worth while logging a fault for the the Fiber line.

This does NOT happen on IS, Vox, Cyberkak or even Axxess(yes, even Axxess) and it is NOT a fault on my line or any hardware.

Please chat to our team to resolve this with them directly, I'm confident you'll come to a resolution.

I am trying to, but the fact that they seem to be selectively ignoring what I say and then replying with irrelevant answers is shocking.

I'm sure this wasn't intentional - you're in good hands with our Critical Care team.

Can't update my ticket because the page times out when I press reply :/

AfriGuy.. I send you a PM

My Line Sync is Stuck at 64 kbps for more than an Hour now..
Pls Help

AfriGuy, my 2Mbps works perfectly for downloading and streaming 720p YouTube without any buffering. However, It does sometimes feel a bit unstable when playing online games. Feels like lag spikes I get, anyway, i think it is probably the telephone line itself as it is a very old line. What I basically want to know, is there any tests we can run to test the stability of the line, and also how much will it roughly cost to put in a completely new physical line from the pole to the house should the line be the cause of the issue? The international latency is stable and fine @ 168ms when playing league of legends, but I get spikes sometimes.

Can be tough to trace, but I'm not too sure a line issue would be there only for gaming? Unless it's causing a bit of chaos with your latency, which will probably be more obvious when gaming.

Either way, drop me a line with your details and a few tests and I'll see what I can find out :)

Now torrents stopped just after 18:00. Did all the tests and posted them on the ticket.

Sitting at downloading metadata for the past 24 mins, the torrent is 50mb
