Afrihost - Ping check

Hi All

I am currently using webafrica 10 gb shaped account and I am not very pleased with the latency.

I am interested in the Afrihost package but when I called in and spoke to the sales person, he wasnt able to tell me what the latency was like for international thru IS.

Can someone please ping this address for me 193.219.193.191

My afrihost account delivers almost 100ms less latency than my SAIX account.
 
Anychance you can ping that IP for us and paste it on here mate?

Could you please pm your client code? I would like to give you a call and go over your issue with you and see what we can do to resolve it

I was under the impression that IS accounts were on a VSAT - how is the latency lower on a Afrihost IS Shaped account as opposed to a WA SAIX based shaped account?

Are IS using Seacom / or some other international cable?
