why cant I stream movies from http://moviez.se/ yet on Vox and Telkom its perfect. on Africr@p its always 300KB's in HD mode ?
and whoever goes there and clicks banners and other crap. dont complain about that its a ****ty site, I get a lot of content from this site. and its my live stream Linux Distro
and make sure you have add block installed, unless you want to be frustrated.

Don't click anything else except the movie, any other will be painful.

Okay, so far I haven't been experiencing any major issues, apart from the odd moment of no connectivity, or a page timing out e.t.c but whenever I try stream an audio clip from BBC world service it constantly stops after a few seconds of playing, then prompts me to "try again" the stream resumes after I click it.

I haven't tested this specific site - is all streaming affected or are you just seeing issues on this site?

Glad to hear things have been looking up :)
Have you submitted feedback via ClientZone for the BBC site?

Besides torrents which are a miss and go depending on time of night, the only streaming sites I use is YouTube which is also a hit and miss but has gotten much better with the tweaks done in the last 2 weeks. I always try use the highest bitrate 1080p or 720p, 1080p seems to have the most problems.

This site in particular has mixed content, most is 720p and a few new movies in 1080p.
the problem is it seems capped at 300kbs on afrigreen, where on other providers its not.
maybe their streaming content is using another transport layer similar to file sharing hence the capped speed being "managed"

at the end of the day, Once you understand navigating the site and avoiding its blatant add tactics etc, it has great content.
I just would love to start a movie, and watch it without having to pause it for 10 minutes to buffer enough content to watch further.
I don't have this issue on other providers.

Funny thing is, if I use IDM (Download manager) that uses segmented downloading, I can download the video at full speed.
but streaming sucks.

No I haven't, I don't use it too often but I thought I'd add my 2c here :P

Vox 300gb Fatpipe special is half price. Is it really worth still testing poc?

Speeds are shocking tonight, cant even stream 360p youtube on a 20mbps line.

@AfriGenie:
Hiya. Have you had any feedback on the YouTube issue I raised a few days ago?
Still maxing out at 4mbps. Really frustrating.

I hardly ever post on here any more because I see all you guys complain and nothing get's done about it always the same old story "OUR PEOPLE ARE LOOKING INTO IT"! But when you download speed and upload speed are nearly the same then it's time to stop looking and do something about it!!!!

Speed test just done: http://netgauge.ookla.com/share/248834384.png

Definitely looks pretty poor here. Have you compared these speeds with your regular account or another ISP account?

When is the latest I can put my AH account on hold until they sort this rubbish out ? ... I really would hate to have to pay for both Vox and AH in the same month ...

If you pause your account, you will prevent any billing for up to six months but you won't get a new data allocation for AfriGreen for the new month. If that's what you're looking for, you can pause in ClientZone any time (best to do this by the 23rd latest to avoid any billing hassles). You can also unpause any time if you want to start using your account again.
