This is the same as on the others network trying and error no plan why it takes 4 hrs and still have no answer about the slow speed 150 Kb/s compeer to 610 kb/s Telkom

You can still use your old account. That's what I am doing.

Dude ... Thanks for that ... ... I read that we have to email Afrihost to go back to our old accounts ... you just saved me

I can now at least stream 480p and get full speed on FTP, browsing is normal and torrents are @ 80% speed ...

So I have a 10Mbps line apparently. But its syncing at 7Mbps. Now i am not sure if this is related in anyway to the afrigreen account. But it is definitely related to Afrihost. I got some made up excuse from your support team informing me that my PC was causing interference with the router and was causing some disconnect to happen between myself and your server.

A home security system may poll the telephone line for security purposes at given intervals - I do not own a home security system. We have 24/7 security that rely on human energy.
Fluorescent lights, mobile phones, cordless phones and base stations all emit electromagnetic fields which may drop a connection. - So my cellphone is causing my router to sync to the DSLAM at 7Mbps and not 10Mbps?? Please inform me what Cellphone i can purchase so as to avoid this in future.
Certain telephone switchboards may also interfere with modem signal. - I do not own a switchboard. I do not run an office from home.

Nothing has changed from my side in the last 72hours other than the account.

Some information from me. 4MB business uncapped.

If i was Afrihost ... I wouldn't disable the original accounts of people testing ... the frustration or fear of knowing you cannot change back if the paw paw hits the fan is terrible ...

For the beginning phases, we know that some issues may be present. Once things start getting better we'll review when the accounts will be locked. It'll be communicated though.

Cant complain with this. Faster than I have ever experienced on my 4mbps Business Unshaped. Because this is actually faster than my 4mbps business uncapped; I guess these speeds are transient and part of the POC tests, and I will soon be throttled back by the bandwidth police to my normal 1-2mbps.

My prediction was 100%. A few minutes later and back to /meh

I agree. Starting to wish I didn't sign up for the testing.

AfriTeam, any word as to why the AfriGreen network speeds are so slow? Upload exceeding download here? I have posted a few tests from earlier, but they have been ignored.

I'm personally not aware of anything - I'll see if I can get some news from our team tomorrow morning.
