Yup. Every day. After 4pm. Latency skyrockets. Cannot connect to gaming servers. Definitely gatvol.

Cheaper or not, it works at least and you don't need to spend all day on tgis thread trying to get things to work

Haha yeah meant worse than the norm
seems to have sorted itself a bit after rebooting everything.Did you try EU server? Ping to EU usually between 180-220.

Speed test to Cape Town is slower than normal. Doesn't affect my browsing though.Haha yeah meant worse than the norm

No apologies necessary and you have nothing to worry about. My bandwidth usage will not place the network at risk.

Well I have had pretty good service for the past month on Afrigreen. Most of my internet use is streaming stuff from KODI including a lot of live HD TV. Last two days of September were pathetic though but similar to most month-ends on a very congested AH where everybody is trying to grab their last few GB's that they have paid for and will surely lose as AH does not carry over unused data!
Then on Saturday morning things really took a turn for the better.
Streaming all weekend was flawless with everything running beautifully at 1080p and I have even managed some 4k with minimal buffering.
I really hope that AH have, at last, fully opened the taps and that we are back to consistently getting what we pay for after the long, painful, expensive wait?
Please let it be so.

No point. My account since closed beta is on US and either way the issue is only with the uncapped account. WebAfrica and Afrihost Free 1GB are perfectly fine.

I see a few people posting a poor experience on AfriGreen, and other seemed to have a decent experience. Seems consistent with what we in the team experienced. For some it was decent, others had issues, particularly on P2P and streaming.
We've kicked all the feedback up to the network team to do what they can on the POC infrastructure. I think there will be a lot of focus on the cutover to the new network in the coming days/weeks, but please be assured that we're going to put as much focus as possible on making sure that clients on our POC and production networks have the best experience until we're all on the new infrastructure soon.
