I am assuming that some tests/tweaks are being done because loading of webpages and emails ( gmail ) have become sluggish...

Looks like a few changes made today didn't go as well as planned. We should see everything normalise in the next couple of minutes as we revert back to this morning's configuration.
From my knowledge of this issue, I'm really not entirely convinced that it could be network related. I think we need to get someone assigned to you to work through this and identify all the possible causes. We should have seen some other users with similar symptoms if this were a network issue
Can you PM me again with your contact details and I'll have someone call you to troubleshoot directly on this?
Is one of the problems connection to international? I can connect no problem to local sites, but international I have no connection.
Scratch that - seems only Facebook is an issue.
I just don't understand how it can't be the network, when I only have these problems on Afrigreen. I've already tested numerous times on my Afrihost.co.za account, and on various trial accounts from Mweb, Axxess and Crystal Web so far. None of these exhibit constant time outs. Only Afrigreen does. But I'll PM you anyway I guess.
