Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

Entered my POC Network details about 30-60mins ago and everything was working perfectly. Unfortunately that didn't last long as I keep getting disconnects from PoE and Twitch.tv keeps buffering.

HTTP has just come to a complete halt

kodi from the UFS tenet mirror however youtube is still streaming no hassle.
 
I am assuming that some tests/tweaks are being done because loading of webpages and emails ( gmail ) have become sluggish...

Something went majorly wrong now. Download from Eclipse kept going but everything else broke. IP phone disconnected, websites wouldn't open, looks like DNS although my laptop was on a different DNS and had same issue as Desktop.

Funny, VPN didn't drop on laptop.
 
Hey guys

We hit up a few changes that caused a dip in connectivity for a bit. Should be A-OK now though :)
If you're still seeing weird packet loss/ throughput try a router reboot and you should be all good.
 
Having issues now with certain websites being unreachable, services like dropbox not connecting.

Looks like a few changes made today didn't go as well as planned. We should see everything normalise in the next couple of minutes as we revert back to this morning's configuration.
 
Is one of the problems connection to international? I can connect no problem to local sites, but international I have no connection.

Scratch that - seems only Facebook is an issue.

Uh oh, guess someone isnt' getting their cookie when they leave :) Good to hear you guys are being proactive with ensuring good configs are kept.

From my knowledge of this issue, I'm really not entirely convinced that it could be network related. I think we need to get someone assigned to you to work through this and identify all the possible causes. We should have seen some other users with similar symptoms if this were a network issue :(

I just don't understand how it can't be the network, when I only have these problems on Afrigreen. I've already tested numerous times on my Afrihost.co.za account, and on various trial accounts from Mweb, Axxess and Crystal Web so far. None of these exhibit constant time outs. Only Afrigreen does. But I'll PM you anyway I guess.

Don't think it's international, most sites seem to be working normally

If the network in general was the issue we'd see many clients posting similar experiences. We'll need to see what in your local network configuration could be conflicting to create this :(
