Speed tests show pretty good speed, but I think those might be priorities. Real world usage differ.
Pretty bad speed at this stage. Trying to download latest Visual Studio 2015 RC, but getting 70Kb/s. Prediction is 14 hours.
Tried the same thing on a Telkom account. Got 350Kb/s with a prediction of 3 hours.
Also truggled a lot since early afternoon with Video Streaming. Buffering at 240p.

Was expecting a lot more from this new POC network. Understand things still need to be tuned, but does not change my reality of getting work done.

YouTube buffering constantly. Going back to my vox account.

Back on my normal Afrihost account. Speed test results the same as POC account.
Youtube 1000% better than POC. Streaming 1080p no buffering.
My VS download very erratic though. Jumping between 65Kb/s - 200Kb/s

I have stopped using the AfriGreen. Packet loss and slow speeds.
Strangely I was getting full line speed on old (AH) 4mb uncapped last night...

Morning everyone

We saw some slow throughput yesterday, the guys have been working on this. Some of it may be due to being routed internationally for some of our traffic and slow international speeds. Our guys are breaking it down to try and find out what could be happening. Let's hope we can see some improvement.

We'll be adding a page somewhere (will post the link) were we'll list known network issues and which ones are active and which ones have been resolved. We're seeing many of the geolocation services updating and reporting correct, which is resolving some local routing and caching issues. Will report more when I have more details.

Sounds brilliant!

Great, this will be valuable.

Yeah, Im having issues streaming from non local sources too. My speed drops to about 30kb/s. When watching youtube however I am getting a constant 220kb/s on a 2meg line. My ping has also improved slightly for local and a quite a bit for World of Warcraft USA servers.

One issue I had was setting up google play on a cell phone, could not find whatsapp on the store. They did not know what country I was in. But that is just geolocation issues. Just posing it here anyway, maybe it helps somebody.

Speeds absolutely pathetic my side today on Afrigreen, so disappointing.

As I confirmed earlier, no one is forcing you to stay on this account - you can switch back to your @afrihost account.

For a representative of a company that should be trying to keep their customers through all this mayhem - you sure have a bad attitude!!

Thank you for making up my mind.

I don't need to waste my time with silly testing and week in and week out excuses as to why basic internet with AH does not work!!

Cheers AFRIHOST!!

You should ask AfriMan how to communicate politely with your customers.

Trying to watch the embedded vid here http://www.theguardian.com/world/20...tinian-asylum-seeker-germany?CMP=share_btn_tw literally took about 10 min for a 1 min vid.

Have you reported that on the ClientZone submission?

The team are monitoring this thread, but it's possible to miss some stuff. If you submit in ClientZone it's got a much better chance of being matched to other reports for resolution.

I also think international throughput may be a little wobbly - could be causing that :(

Definitely could be related to international speeds. Once we squash that, lets see if we see overall improvement.

I'll report it in a bit, sitting in bed while its raining is not conducive to doing technical reports
