I also had an issue specifically related to Afrihost. Where when I download using Internet Download Manager I can't browse few select sites while downloading at the same time. But it worked fine on another ISP. Unfortunately guys at Afrihost couldn't figure out the problem so I've just stopped using Internet Download Manager or if I do use it I don't browse those specific sites.

Hopefully they'll be able to fix your problem. I'm going to be upgrading to Windows 10 soon too so will keep a look out and see if I have the same issue as you.

Did you give us the name of that download manager and the specific sites. We can always try to replicate that if we can.

You could look at your firewall settings to see if it isn’t blocking the connection.
Temporarily disable any security feature that might be running on your computer.
Verify that Windows Update Service is running.

Yeah I did give it before. The download manager was "Internet Download Manager"

The sites were Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, LinkedIn, yahoo mail, hotmail, tweetdeck too and student site for Animationmentor.com though not sure you'll will be able to test last one since you need student login for it.

These are the errors I get mostly

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED

Let me see if I can find it. What version of Windows or Mac are you running?
 
Network test with Speedtest.net is good but bad on MyBroadband. :confused:

Although the test are slower than normal it isn't affecting my browsing or watching YouTube. :)

Could there be something wrong with the third hop? It is usually 40ms.

That looks like you are on a Legacy Afrihost account, could you quickly switch to your AfriGreen account and see if there is any difference.

It was the AfriGreen account.
Retested and it is back to normal. :)
