Steam downloads at 1MBps on 10MB line. Tor on 0.1KBps when Steam is not downloading

All p2p dead completely here. Browsing sluggish as well.

P2P was flying along, come 6pm speeds dropped like flies.
However speedtest and YouTube are normal.

Maybe your profile has been changed to interleaved. I had that problem. PM TelkomZA and ask him to change you back to FastPath.

My attenuation is the same, I can sync at 4mb BUT then my SNR drops to 6 and I begin accumulating a lot of HEC and CRC errors, about 70 errors per second, I'm back to a 2mb line and still seing problems with errors. Telkom needs to start working if they want to raise the "minimum" speed from 2mb to 4mb.

I can't see that happening honestly. Telkom reintroducing 1Mbps lines is definitely a sign that we're nowhere close to 4Mbps minimum.

Was the line ever stable on 4Mbps for you?

Announcement was really not what I wanted to hear, Gian seems in denial about the current state of your network.

Anyway I would like to know what is the best way of cancelling so I don't end up paying 2 ISPs for one month of decent service?
Is there anyway I can cancel this month still and get my money back somehow?

Really unhappy, I was planning on giving it until end of the month, but the fact that you guys seem to think the way the network is running now is fine is kind of scaring me away. Just to be very clear not one of your 2 networks is doing it for me at this stage, I don't know why, but it got worse instead of better.

I don't think that was Gian's intention at all, we definitely know that Afrigreen is not performing at peak right now, in terms of individual experience. We're happy with how the proof of concept has performed. Even now, having reached capacity, we believe it's doing well in terms of preserving latency and giving a good overall performance while under strain (with very little human intervention). This was a big part of the POC requirement before moving to the production phase.

You can cancel in ClientZone if you still genuinely wish to cancel your account. Remember you can also pause if you want to wait and see. You can always unpause if you see things improving and want to give the full network a try. With local IPC in major regions, the performance can only be better

Constant disconnects right now for anything that uses p2p (HotS and GW2) while web pages still load.

If you're testing when the network is under strain, you might see poor performance on different protocols, but P2P would probably perform poorly especially on Uncapped.

When we cut over to the production version of Afrigreen, hopefully within the next few days, we should see these issues go away completely.

Everything has been perfect on AfriGreen since my last post 2 or 3 weeks ago. No problems to speak of here. So I am sure the production network will be good once implemented. I am holding thumbs here. No one else offers unshaped uncapped at the same price point as Afrihost. So no where to move to for me.

Glad to hear that you are seeing a better experience. Remember that we'll also have local IPC in KZN, so it will only get better

Yeah I agree - give credit where credit is due. When AH works it works flawlessly. The problem here is consistency.

I think the problem has always been that this was a test network and many of the tests meant squeezing the network and simulating conditions where performance would normally be awful to put some disaster planning in place.

When we cut over to the production version, we shouldn't see any testing of that nature

I got a test account with your competitor, everything is flying at almost full speed.
One thing I noticed though, when using Kodi, even though ISP 'X' is performing so well, it doesn't stream as well as Afrihost does even though they performing so poorly.
My torrents were completely dead on AH last night.
