Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Interestingly, my speedtests (ethernet and WAN) are now 387-390Mbps.

I did some digging and found out that Frogfoot is upgrading the speeds (250 -> 400Mbps) so I would suspect this was the cause.

I have logged a missing premise ticket with Vuma. We should have feedback within 48 hours.

@Afrigirl I suspect Frogfoot did their thing, but seems like the speed profile hasn't been updated yet (Afrihost side), when will this be taking place (if you know)?

Speed increases for existing clients will happen during February and price increases will happen on 01 March 2024.
We still have to match clientzone profiles to the newly allocated speeds.
For new sign-ups, the new speeds will be available from the 1st of Feb and for existing clients, all changes should be effective by the 1st of March.

Regarding the whole FNO thing, the email seems vague - because the people i have spoken to all think it said different things:
a) Line speed upgrade is temporary (just for FEB) to offset the impact of the price increase
b) Line speed upgrade is permanent and you just paying a little more.

@Afrigirl
I had read it as a permanent speed increase, but now seeing your message and re-reading the email, I'm confused as it very well could read as a February only increase.

Some clarification certainly would be appreciated.
