Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Hi, we had a power outage a few days ago and ever since then my internet has been giving me problems. I have restarted the router multiple times but still not change.

Sites will take very long to load or not load at all. Speed test would at times not even start and games would constant lose connection.

These test were run from within the router test and pc so no 3rd party app, software or connections.
The one vid shows that before the outage everything was fine. As soon as i clicked test it would start immediately.

Now IF it starts it takes forever to search for a server etc.
Sites in general are the same, would take very long to even start loading.

Test run from within router

Try directly from ONT, during that outage it could of shorted the Router, always best to test directly from ONT

When logging a call via WhatsApp doesn't that get linked to your account? Cause mine isnt

And I highly doubt that my experience is directly related to the cable break cause even local site load ver slow. I have to constantly refresh to get some to even load

Hey

Please can you send me a dm with your email address so I can have a look for you?

So I just tested with a direct connection and everything thing seems fine. Speed test loads without problems, sites locally loads fast and internationally alot better.

I unfortunately don't have another router to do more tests.

Reconnected the router, and did a factory reset but still same problems.

I'll book a return with wootware, still have more than a year of warranty left.

I'll buy a cheap replacement router for when this one is sent away. Then I'll have one for future testing as well.

All sites or only certain?
Now that is hard to tell.

But seems all sites seem to have this problem. Note 6 and 7
