I thought something would happen again, woke up to normal speeds and latency and not long after the latency jumped into the 30-40s again.
 
We are aware of the increased latency and packet loss affecting our JHB <> DBN NLDs. We have lost primary links and briefly lost secondary today. Currently, we are on backup links. Waiting for feedback from the vendor the ETA for our primary link to be restored.

Outage resolved.

Fibre break 2.5km from PMB towards New Germany. Field tech replaced to restore the link.
 
Anyone having issues connecting since last night? Router WAN went offline and hasn't come back since.

Yeah I'm half a bar away from 98 in POE2 and I almost got clapped because my character froze.

Had to log off to see what's going on check here and surprise surprise...

Rebooted modem and now I cant even show pics in web pages.
 
Test from Gauteng to Durban and Cape town has not performance for me? Anyone else having the same?
 
Afrihost claims there is absolutely no issue...wish I could share my conversation with their support desk here, but perhaps not appropriate and will rather DM this to @Afrigirl so she can review and react.

What is comes down to is that Afrihost claims that we can expect 1/5 of our paid bandwidth to local sites. So if you get for example 500Mbps to Johannesburg, and only 100Mbps to Durban / Cape Town, there is nothing Afrihost can do and this has to be accepted. Apparently we have to accept that the remote sites (Speedtest servers, or whatever) will perform like this.
