Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Ayt I got mates no where near me complaining about the same thing.

Vumatel must be shitting the bed again.

Jeez, who are the lucky few bastards that still had gpon connectivity. @AfriNatic connection has restored on my side. Vuma got some explaining to do.

So it would be Huawei rollouts in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Freestate and North West.

Looks like Gauteng traffic has restored.

Do we have a choice or better option, seems like this would account for all the speed issues i have on a regular basis

Yes, I see a drop in traffic. We got a notification from Frogfoot in our WhatsApp group.

Heads up

We are experiencing an outage in some areas in Cape Town, the relevant teams are already investigating the cause.
Back up and running. Any feedback from Frogfoot on what happened?

Is there anybody that can actually help me drive this stupid situation. My line is released with cool ideas and they are not seeing any pending orders their side. They can actually select the line to place an order. Now on your side it's showing there is an order pending and another one can't be placed. I keep getting told, after how many calls to just start getting something done, that they have mailed vumatel to look into it but it will be 24 to 72 hours, and nobody can escalate.

This is a ridiculous situation to be in because now I have the option of being without internet for an undetermined amount of time or reactivating with cool ideas before something gets broken worse over a stupid system glitch.

This part doesn't make sense as that is not how Frogfoot works. Any ISP can place multiple orders for the same address at any time the portal doesn't restrict order placing. Each order placed generates a new FRG number. The service delivery team from Frogfoot needs to verify each order and that is where the process hits a roadblock. If they pick up other orders for the same address they add notes to the orders placed asking for "ISP quote correction"

If you have signed up with us we place an order via API.

Please can you pm Afrigirl and me to see what the progress is on the order?

Frogfoot has a 30 days notice period so when a cancellation ticket is loaded by the previous ISP and the new ISP places an order Frogfoot will load an ER (Early Release) request on the previous ISP's portal that they need to accept before the new ISP's order can activate. If they don't then the line stays active with the previous ISP for 30 days from the date a cancellation ticket was logged.
