No network incident has been confirmed, we are checking with Vuma. Please advise what is the state of the lights on the ONT.

All looks normal, but I wasn't getting an IP address.
Back up now.

Saw on the CI thread Vuma acknowledged the issue though.

@Afrigirl is the undersea cable break effectively a non issue now? I see there is no more notice on the afrihost website.

How are CPT users routed now (OS if that makes a difference)?

Will anything change when the cables get fixed?

Hi.

I will ask for the notice to be put up again with updates until it has been resolved.

Some of the traffic is being routed through the Liquid Equiano express route to reduce the impact. It is still split because of capacity, once WACS is back online, we will review and discuss with our providers the way forward.

He probably doesn't want to answer the same question about the Apple cache for the 6th time this month, it will be done when it's done and then someone will make an announcement, hey the cache is up and running, enjoy.

Is this AH:

your DNS server used IP 188.172.217.2
(And it said your IP was 188.172.217.0/24)

From zanog-zacpt1a-fe-001.ec.edge.apple

a 5MB object took 690ms, averaging 57.97Mb/s
That IP is Anexia JHB which is NextDNS. To route to Afrihost you should use their DNS to route to their cache.
