I made the switch myself

So Openserve in my area has had more issues than Metrofibre, Metrofibre had way more uptime.
But, when there was a capacity issue, they took a while to acknowledge it. Which happens country wide for Metrofibre.
Overall, they about the same, Metrofibre is much cheaper.
I haven't made the change back to Openserve, so I guess Metrofibre is better in a way for me

3 years of zero downtime for me here in durban on mfn.

That's why I want to get an opinion from Afrinatic.

Been with Openserve for 2.5 years..... They have honestly been the best Fibre provider I've ever been with.... almost zero downtime.

I'm located in Pretoria, Rietfontein for context. :)

Well, both are good FNOs. I do personally like MetroFibre more. Very stable and I have the netops manager on my whatsapp I can contact anytime to get issues fixed if we fail with normal processes.

They have decent latency between PTA and JHB. It's like 2-3ms to Teraco Isando. What latency do you get currently on Openserve?

I checked our metro traffic now and being a Sunday traffic is very high but the line doesn't skip a beat.

Is Afrihost having issues with the DDNS, I ping mine as a means to check when my internet goes down and it has been rock solid for over a year but the last couple of days it goes down constantly, it has been down 9 times in the last 24 hours.

I'm sure if I actually tried using it it would be fine and I have no connectivity issues otherwise. I use UptimeRobot to ping the address every 5 minutes and it has been 100% accurate in detecting when my internet is down for over a year but since Friday I've been getting notifications constantly that it's unreachable so I thought I might as well ask.

Yip, mine has been acting up since this morning...
Connection itself has been fine *touchwood*, just the Afrihost DDNS been unstable...

Anything up tonight? International feels slow tonight, not really having problems playing games but can def feels that stuff is loading up slower than usual. Cape Town, Mitchell's Plain with VumaReach

Youtube was buffering for me earlier. Briefly but on a gigabit account, it shouldn't, not ever, not on an off day, not when undersea cables have been damaged, not when there riots in Durban, not when the Afrihost head office has burnt to the ground.... N....E....V....E....R....!
 
Something wonky? Whatsapp connecting the whole time, cant get on apple app store.
