So I get an email saying my debit order for the account at a residence of mine has been rejected by the bank.
This despite me informing afrihost that I am moving debit orders to a different bank.

I had paid the various amounts by direct deposit into afrihost's absa account over a week back & supplied proof of payment same day.

I now discover the line has been suspended. I contact afrihost. I am told to send proof of payment yet again.
I send to the email address as instructed but get an error message:

"Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain afrihost.co.za by mail.ucebox.co.za. [197.242.152.131].

The error that the other server returned was:
550 The content of this message looked like spam."

So, I try to send it to [email protected] but get the same error message.
I then try contact them by sending a text "help" to the number they supply - no response !!

Pathetic !!

Afrihost seems to be following in telkom's steps.

Seems time to shop around for a new ISP given the amount of complaints about afrihost I am seeing around these parts.

Really sorry we've let you down here grantza :( Definitely not our standards or our norm.
If you'd like, you're more than welcome to drop me a PM with your info so I can run some follow ups on where we dropped the ball here.

I have the same problem and tried email Afrihost various times and sms the "help" , but they cannot help me. I try to send an email from my gmail account which I received from my Computer supplier to various email addresses, but they are all on my ISP, and therefor gives me error550. If I send the same mail to another ISP email address it goes through. The emails I sent to support@afrihost ment absolutely nothing. They sent me a ticket no and then an sms to ask me to rate the service I got. This happened twice. LOL I responded with a zero and I got another sms to say that someone will call me. That did not happen, but instead I got an email to which I replied that there was "No Service" that I could rate, that was why I replied with a "0". Gues what: No reply and no call. Still have the problem. Grrrr. I pay a lot of money every month with 3 different websites, and my adsl through them.

Sorry to hear about the hassles here :(
Do you have that ticket ref# that I can follow up on?
