Afrihost Slow Uncapped

Yeah I think something is not kosher atm... :(

also averaging around 20kb/s...
 
This is rubbish! wat have they done to their uncapped??? I will not continue with them if they dont fix it by month end. I'll move to either to MyIsp or Axxess :P come on Afrihost, dont disappoint me!

We have, but when you've been told to wait 30min and then wait till 6pm, and it's still fooked it gets annoying. I should've stuck with Axxess.
 
Nothing will have changed by the end of next month, what you get is what you pay for ... Its likely the line is shaped irrespective of the usage of the uncapped accounts. Throttled then shaped is likely the case. The great big telef.u.ck continues.

how are the other Uncapped ISP products doing?

First thing I tried. Then I tried my capped Afrihost account and my Axxess ADSL express account (just now), and they're both fine. I think Afrihost accidentally set a bunch of 4mbps accounts to 384kbps accounts because they forced their devs to rush the new functionality out.

Highly unlikely since there weren't any speed problems earlier. It might just be a IS backbone problem.

All of us on Afrihost Uncapped cannot be having the same speed issue if it was a simple out of sync so then power cycle your router will fix it all for you... :)

Hundreds starts with 200+, and there is ppl that havnt even reached 100...

Not good Afri, not good at all. They should not sell it as Uncapped if they are gonna screw you, rather sell it as a 200Gb account or whatever, I want to know what I can use and not get any surprizes. This is truly messed up!

Got an email from Faraad asking for a tracert. Here's hoping.
 
Ok that is slow. I get atleast 100-200kbs on mweb. ATM I'm getting 250kbs on p2p with Mweb. Its still slow but it looks to be much faster than Afrihost. :-)
